I went back to read your very first LotR ff. And I liked it. I liked how the women would have wanted to fight. They should have fought. It broke my heart that they made the children fight instead. But I liked how you handled the situation, and the words Eowyn said to Leonor about their task to protect the children, the future. So nice you kept Haldir alive. He should not have die in that battle. And how they think the sleeping elves are dead. I would love to see Haldir handle the situation. Too funny...

Loved getting to see this part of movie on a deeper level and with “extended scenes.” :) The bond between Aragorn, Gimli and Legolas is always a pleasure to read. I love that Aragorn is a bit of a mother hen towards Legolas and Gimli. :) My favorite thing about this though, is the Haldir is there to the end. :D

This is great, as usual! I just would have one remark: don't copy so much from your previous work :) You are a wonderful writer, dare to rewrite scenes or summarize them :) For the rest, I absolutely loved the story again! :)

Excellent job! I loved the characters, you really nailed them all. Great behind the scenes action and interplay between everyone.

Cannot wait to read more.

Excellent story. There were a couple minor mistakes but other than that, it was very interesting.

It's sad the boys had to be made to fight the battle. I hope that those boys were around 12 years old and not around 8 years old.

It may have been one of your first fanfics but believe me when I say I thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it. And you kept Haldir alive YAY!

ON YOUR NOTE ABOUT THE WOMEN. I'm generally okay, in principle, about women being the protected ones, but when they armored up those little boys...well. In my own mind, I am convinced that several women less likely to be missed than Eowyn crossdressed and fought well in Helm's Deep. ;)
