I like the method used by Tsuzuki. It is true that acting like this, giving the person the impression that it's them who comfort can work well. It is really cute too!

short, sweet, and to the point! it's cute, even though i'd love if it were a bit longer! lol, well, i definitely love it!

Lets see, lets see. First, where's the detail? Where's the drama? I'd expect any attack on JuOhCho would bring alarm from more then four people... by the way, just where is Chief Konoe during this? Don't you think he'd be one of the first to know? You could at least mention that Tsuzuki summoned Suzaku. I find it rather odd (although amusing) that the bird just poofed into being. The battle could have been more explained: Why was the demon attacking JuOhCho? What was the purpose of cutting the power lines? WHY did Tatsumi automatically assume that power outage attack? I don't care HOW short an author intends to make a fic. There is ALWAYS room for details. Make me believe you actually give a damn about your writing.

Another thing to watch is your spelling and grammar. JuOhcho. Tsuzuki's shikigami is called SuZAku. Proper capitalization is important too. It's the difference between helping your Uncle Jack off a horse, and helping your uncle jack off a horse. Aside from those points, you kept the characters fairly IC. The story wasn't exceedingly fluffy (although it WAS quite pointless) All in all, I'd rate it about 5 out of 10. It isn't the worst YnM fic I've come across.
