That was wonderful. I just began watching Combat, and I ache for epilogues. I think you did a great job with Doc's thoughts and actions. I got a chuckle at the beginning with Hanley and his griping about the jeeps. Well-done.

A beautifully done epilogue to that episode..I always thought it needed a bit more..at least the guys going back to Caje. You tied up the loose threads perfectly.

I am particularly drawn to "follow-up" stories, and I'm pleased your chose this episode for your attention.

You capture the intra-squad relationships that make Combat! such a compelling universe, at least for me. Most of all, the character depth you unveil for Doc (in this and in "The Aftermath of Freedom") is breathtaking.

Though I have never seen the episode (or don't remember it), I felt you gave me enough information to understand it-especially when you had the Doc explain it to the Lt. at the end. The image of him examining his hands for blood constantly was very effective. I loved the conversation b/w the two left behind at the tree-about redemption and forgiveness, and faith in the Doc. Thanks!

This is an excellent coda to the episode The Hostages. You've done a brilliant job in keeping the characters true to canon. I can just imagine the episode continuing along with your plot and how I wish they had! Wonderful, just wonderful.
