I didn't say this in my first review but I need to thank you for not villainizing Mark and for letting Greeneday end amicably because I do! love him! and it means so much that despite the inherent sadness you let everyone have (relatively) happy endings and I just! I care so much about this story! Your characterization of everyone is PERFECT and your words are so, so lovely. Sometimes I get disheartened by the lack of Cordano on AO3 (everything IS about Abby, you're right - every time I get to that author's note I laugh) and then I come back to your work here and am REVITALIZED

Just reread this many, many years later. It's still brilliant….and so well written; everyone in character and so darn plausible. Can't remember if I left a review all those moons ago, but hey this deserves another, and if not, apologies for my tardiness. Thank you for an amazing story!

I'm currently in the process of re-watching all fifteen seasons of ER. Watching it again has reminded me how much I adore the chemistry between Robert and Elizabeth, so here I am now, hunting down Cordano fanfiction. Yours was the first I stumbled upon and I can't put into words how much I truly enjoyed reading it! At first, I was skeptical about the transition from Robert and Elizabeth to Mark and Susan, but in the end, I found myself drawn to both. It was so wonderfully in-character and the plot so addictive, it was easy to lose the track of time while reading. Well done!

Mouse... aww, that is so sweet! What a nice surprise to realize that people still may read and enjoy this story, so many years later. I still wish Corday and Romano had really gotten together!

AUGH this is SO GOOD. Your characterization is perfect - you have the voices of each of the characters down so well; I laughed aloud at Elizabeth and Romano's back-and-forth at some points, and the way you write tension and angst actually made my chest hurt. Your style of writing is fluid where it needs to be yet slips into sharper edges so easily. I've actually been saving this fic for a while because I love your writing so much, and it was definitely worth it. Thank you so much for writing and sharing such an excellent fic!

That was delightful! I'm sad to see it end, but the end was really satisfying. Your fic made me realize that I don't really dislike Mark, just Mark with Elizabeth. Mark and Susan are great together - sweet and poignant.
Of course, the Cordano stuff was super. As were the interactions between Romano and other characters. Romano's concern for Susan, but discomfort about the whole "sympathy and friendship" thing was perfect. And nice characterization of the more minor characters, like Gallant and Chuny.

Bravo! I'm so glad to see this wonderful story finished - and in such a beautiful way!

I know, believe me, I know that it's really cruel and horrible to say this ... but ... everytime Robert & Elizabeth kiss, all I can see is him standing on tip-toe :D I'm sorry, I can't get passed the 'He's so bloody short!' complex. But otherwise, how much do I love this chapter! Bless you for all the Luby! And I'll keep thinking about the discrepancy, I'm sure it'll come back to me. I loved the Susan/Romano stuff, that was very sweet. The Marsan stuff was fantastic, so so sad. And I liked the Cordano stuff too, glad to see that it had a happy ending.

I really enjoyed this. I think you did an excellent job with the dialog, which can be really hard to do, especially with Romano. I also liked the pace you set with each chapter, you were very consitent and I think that makes for an easy read. Well Done EB!

God, did I panic when I saw the word "chopper". Lovely ending to a lovely story. I lack the words to express myself better, but I'm truly grateful, not only for how you wrote my favorite character, but how you wrote Mark, so I could love him.
