Victoria to Worthing chapter 1 . 1/25/2004
Aw! Fabulous! It makes sense, and it's poetic in a GOOD way, haha. It's a perfect length, too. Great language. I like it!
12808 chapter 1 . 12/17/2003
There probably aren't enough words to say all the good things that can be said about this. It's not "blah" - it's beautiful. It's perfect and painful and lovely and hideous all at once. And it does make sense - don't fool yourself into thinking otherwise. _~
PepsiAngel chapter 1 . 11/9/2003
Oh, wow. *shivers*

Every word was right and flawless. It had this rough sadness about it. You exposed the other side of their 'perfect' love.

'Barely twenty-five, and already his world’s been torn apart – already he will spend the rest of his life mourning a woman who wasn’t, in retrospect, as very remarkable as he always saw her.'

Just rereading that gives me chills. Incredible.

Cookiez chapter 1 . 10/28/2003

Dendera chapter 1 . 9/23/2003
Is there any fandom you can't write for? You put us all to shame, my dear. This is beautifully done, with amazing tone and imagery. It cuts the reader, like a piece of glass you hadn't realized was sharp until too late, and reminds us all of a time when we too only saw our world in black and white.
Voldemorts.Girlies chapter 1 . 9/13/2003
This is beautiful. I love your writing so very much. This makes sense to me and doesn't sound blah to me! It's great! In fact you're going on my favorite authors.

lynnxlady chapter 1 . 8/30/2003
WOW.

I've found six pieces of fanfic on this site, out of all the fandoms I occasionally browse through, that have taken my breath away. This is one. _ You've got a real gift with language. From describing Satine to describing being in love, and then what Christian will supposedly begin to think, and then the last line which is not hopeful, because Satine is dead and Christian is miserable without her, but somehow just a bit uplifting...excellent.
ickyveggies chapter 1 . 8/18/2003
Simply beautiful.
sherbie chapter 1 . 8/15/2003
oh my god. i love this so much. i can't believe how well you write. oh my god, oh my god. i swear, this is so beautiful. words can't express. you're so talented. thank you so much.
Bohemian Storm chapter 1 . 8/11/2003
Oh, Nita, that was so beautiful. I really loved that. It was something so different than anything else we really see in this category. It was cynical and sad and ... dark. I don't know how to explain it exactly. Whatever it is that you did, you did it incredibly well.
Dia chapter 1 . 8/6/2003
Oh, Nita, I adore this. Perfectly angsty and chilling and rather depressing as far as views of love go, but then the last sentence... and it all changes in a sharp jerking motion. And yet it doesn't lose the quality it had throughout the whole of the fic. Lovely, really, and depressingly perfect. If I were the bitter type, I'd be forced to hate you.
Rosemarie Flowingwater chapter 1 . 8/5/2003
I like to avoid the "omgyouaresogood" type of gush, which is nice to hear but not helpful as a writer.

And very rarely-ok, never-do I come across a piece of fiction that I would wish no changes to (the only thing that comes close is the film Babette's Feast-must see, if you have not-not a single line, shot, look of that movie would I change.)

So it is with this piece. A remarkable prose poem. To begin to analyze it would be an injustice. Particularly, the long chapter "But in truth, it is not beautiful..." that whole thing kind of puts a pall over even my own giddiness about the movie (having forgotten the possiblility that he may have gotten consumption from her, etc etc). A remarkable paragraph in a remarkable work that I wish I could be more critical of but cannot. If this is typical of your talent, please-more. Let us have more.
Buffelyn chapter 1 . 8/3/2003
*sniffle*...that was beautiful. LOVED the colors, the reds and the grays:) Great idea:)
