Reviews for Practically Brothers
Guest chapter 1 . 4/27/2019
Hurting people or animals doesn't matter, whoever eats or harms another living being is a disgusting monster and deserves everything they get
JG chapter 3 . 6/3/2018
Just wanted to comment on how BEAUTIFUL that opening scene was, with the silvery dog on the beach and the long shadows. Amazing use of adjectives. Now back to reading the rest of the chapter!
Machaon's Apprentice chapter 5 . 5/27/2016
Very touching story !
Guest chapter 5 . 11/1/2015
Great story! Thank you.
Guest chapter 4 . 8/9/2015
Lupin is wrong to blame Snape for not learning to laugh at himself. You can only laugh at yourself when you have respect from the people making jokes about you. All of the jokes Snape has faced in life have been malicious. It's perfectly natural for him to feel hurt.
MJLupin27 chapter 1 . 7/30/2015

coccinellee chapter 5 . 10/24/2014
Wow that was good! I love your humour. I love your characterization. Snape in jeans is indeed a rare sight. Even with all the fanfictions I've read, I only read about Snape in jeans once. Hehe.
CryingKitsune chapter 5 . 6/1/2014
I can honestly say that reading this gave me quite the feeling of contentment, peace and relief.
Thank you,

P chapter 5 . 4/30/2014
Ok I'm in a hurry so I don't have time for a proper review that you deserved (sorry!), but I just wanted to say it's wonderful wonderful wonderful! Seeing these guys happy makes me happy too! Love you for writing it (and it is very well written).
MuggleCreator chapter 5 . 5/30/2013
Awwwwwww! Very nice story.
riverrat chapter 5 . 2/21/2013
It seemed to be a little easy how fast Severus's and Remus's friendship progressed. Even though there were hints on how Severus feels about himself being a dark person it seems a bit rushed. I think Severus wouldn't have been that easy to convince that somebody actually wanted to be his friend. Overall a good story with a good plot and great dialogs though.
riverrat chapter 2 . 2/19/2013
Severus playing fetch with Lupin... too funny.
Saint Snape chapter 5 . 10/25/2012
Very nice story. You captured all of Severus's angst very well.
Saint Snape chapter 4 . 10/25/2012
"And it is so easy to hate him," Snape said. "Every time I look at him, the young hero, the shining prince, I am shown just how great the gulf is between us, how far in the pit I exist, how foul a creature I am. And that no matter how hard I try, how much higher I climb from where I am now, I will always be in the pit." He closed his eyes. "I learned, a long time ago, that no matter how hard I try to climb out, someone out in the sunlight will push me right back in."

Do you such a great job showing Severus's hatred of himself and his not feeling worthy. No matter what he does he will never feel like he's a good person. So very sad.

I also never thought Severus hated Harry like was indicated in the books. Sure he hated James but I think he hated more what all he had to do to help keep Harry safe. He felt trapped and helpless. Harry made it so hard too, always getting into trouble, never listening and he fed Severus's dislike. Of course giving Voldermort the idea he hated Harry worked on all levels. It kept Severus safe and had Voldy been able to read Harry's mind he would have seen the hatred Severus made sure to cultivate in Harry about himself.

He gave his ugly smile. "That's how He got me, in the end, long ago. He said, those people are considered the Good ones, the ones who attack you and spit on you. They are not Good. There is no Good, or Evil, only Power. For a while, I believed that, for I saw no Good anywhere. And He was the only one who ever tried to help me, or cared about me, or so I thought." He smiled. "Of course, in the end, I wound up more powerless than ever."

Great job here too. Voldy knew just what to say to all the disinfranchished Slytherins. Most of them were outcasts and made to feel like they'd be Death Eaters no matter what. The mind of teens are so simple. Many times if they think they can't change your mind they just do what you think they are going to do. Plus the no good and no evil thing is such a great arguement for those who want to be reassured they are making the right choice. Then the power angle Severus was already aware of with James, Sirius, Peter and Remus ganging up on him using their power to overcome him. Thus the idea that they aren't good but power is seems very logical. At least Severus was smart enough and loved Lily enough to admit he was wrong in the end and worked to correct the mistakes he had made as a youth.

Really great stuff you have written.
