Only, instead of "Henry the Eighth" I usually sing "3 Sharp-toothed Buzzards." It just doesn't feel right to dignify incorrectly classifying species with a song as hilarious and strangely witty as "Henry the Eighth."

Although, I wouldn't feel too insulted if Marvel tried a subspecies argument, as there aren't too many good ways of describing subspecies yet... but even then, nah.

As for the story, it's very, very good. It's both thoughtful and enlightening... and it totally feels like something Kurt would do. Thank you for sharing it!

One word. Bravo. You have my complete and utter respect and I wish that people would stop being to stupid about race. It really doesn't matter what you look like, or what language you speak. Everyone feels the same emotions. Everyone strives to better themselves. in the end, everyone is simply Human. People who act like they're better because of their skin type or whatever annoy me to NO end. *ahem* anyways...sorry i kinda went into a rant there but I am in the middle of one of my college application essays at the moment (thus why i'm in such a writing mood) and found it to be rather ironic that I am reading this now. (I'm being lazy cause I don't feeling like finishing it) Anyways i recently had an experience where someone insulted my race to my face without even realizing it (i'm native american...the woman must have been blind...) and it got me to wondering WHY people don't bother to even try to understand others before stereotyping them and coming to their own conclusions about an entire race without bothering to actually SPEAK to any of them. blah. i'm rambling again...sorry. well it's nearly one in the morning so I better catch some sleep. Thank you for this inspiring oneshot. definately faving it.

I really liked how you worked this, it was kind of sad too to see Kurt in such turmoil over it - great! Love how you made his answer human, after all, he is the most human despite his appearances.

Um... I liked this, but me being the way I am, I have to argue with your bottom statement. The two last offshoots of homo habilus were homo sapien Neaderthalis, and homo sapien sapien (us) Both shared different names, but were able to interbreed. So are lions and tigers, which share different names. I agree with his statment that he IS a human, I just have to point out that your arguemnt is somewhat invalid. Hope you write more.

As good as this story is, Ethnicity is just your background. Therefore Kurt would put German :P

I find this story rather amusing because whenever I come across a form that asks for my race, I write in 'human' myself.
