karagrace chapter 8 . 9/2/2009 Recently found your stories and I really liked how you wrote Lillian-you can understand where she is coming from but knowing it's wrong you want her caught. Nice job on showing that angle. And I really want to slap Grissom! |
Amanda Kitswell chapter 8 . 9/15/2008 OK, I'm gonna start off by saying that, since I started getting into fan fiction, this has been my favorite story. I read it last fall, with seriously no other interest but GSR at the time. I was completely thrilled to find a story that captured both Sara and Gil perfectly, as well as Catherine and Brass... oh, and Hodges. And everyone else. You were impeccable in that aspect. Your case was one hell of a head-scratcher. It was unbelievable, the amount of time and dedication and effort that must have gone into it. I was impressed at how detailed you were, and the characterization of Lilith was extensive, with how little you used her in the beginning. You took the time to put a character profile together (or so it seems) and create a well developed character. She wasn't a Mary Sue in the least, and that makes me bow to you. I have so much I want to say, but I just can't think of it all right now. If you want to know more, just pester me with a PM and I'll be sure to respond. _ Amanda Ruth |
esezed chapter 8 . 8/26/2007 I really enjoy all your work, the link to your website doesnt work is there any way i can get the story following the isolation ward story? |
variousandsundry chapter 8 . 6/7/2005 *le sigh* aw, so good. i have so much respect for people who can write a compelling case story side by side with the personal drama we all love between the geeks. mad props on both endings. chapter seven broke my heart but was so in character that i could see those bastard PTBs doing it. anyway, lovely lovely writing. which is hit and miss in this venue. (i don't think that counts as a flame, definitely snarky though...) chapter eight makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside, especially the repeated detail on the hand holding. actually, that's definitely one thing i've noticed about your writing - you've got the details. you know the importance of that throwaway, casual, downtoearth detail sentence that makes a piece snap and register with readers. brava. |
gscritter chapter 8 . 5/16/2005 Sounds like many I had hoped that Lillith would slip away. My heart goes out for her. But I am very happy you added that last chapter - it made my soul smile to see them finally happy again. Thanks - great writing. Your characters sounded real in my head. Sara wasn't too snarky and Grissom wasn't too wimpy like in so many fanfics. Your case file was interesting and challenging for the crew. Thank you for sharing your story. |
syRen chapter 8 . 10/25/2004 you did a great job with this story... an very emotional subject... |
Sparro'e chapter 8 . 10/20/2004 good stuff! I especially like the last chapter, and the guys' reactions to learning about the victims' punishment. |
Jagua chapter 8 . 9/14/2004 Loved the story! thank god u wrote the 8th chapter, it would have killed all the magic if it had finished at the 7th, keep on typing! |
Augusta chapter 8 . 8/30/2004 I think you did good with Lilian getting caught, though I am kinda sad she did. I do have a bit of and understanding of where she's coming from and of the logic behind her actions. The story was good and excellently researched and the character were pretty well written. Bravo! |
angel-brokensorrow chapter 8 . 4/5/2004 YUour writing is some of the best i've ever read. And i've read...alot _ It's a good thing you didn't go overboard with details cuz then i'd be...well...very sick. _ Great job on this...i really loved it. Especially the reactions the guys had when they found out what happened to the victims...lol _' |
Christine Calvert chapter 8 . 3/5/2004 Fabulous, as always, Burked. Excellent plot twists, believable perpetrator, and who doesn't love a little GSR? |
Christine Calvert chapter 3 . 3/5/2004 "Two weeks." Classic! Review would b elonger, but I have to keep reading. |
krista chapter 8 . 2/9/2004 I know you wrote this a few months ago and finished it and all but I just wanted to say that I enjoyed your story quite a bit. The plot was outstanding, and it hit home in a way. It's always nice to see stories with such depth and vibrant character. Now I am finding myself wanting to read more of your stories. |
Saskia Mitchell chapter 8 . 9/24/2003 Burked, I love the intensity of your story "Sympathy for the Devil", it wouldn't surprise me if you actually looked back on past episodes to get your "solve" ratios. You're knowledge of forensics is also impressive-I'm lazy, I just make it up, lol. I thought the plot line between Grissom and Sara was unbelievably good-particularly the scene where they are in her apartment and she is yelling at him to respect her at work b/c that's all she has. I had to sit back and fan myself after that chapter! Many kudos. If you ever want a beta, I will gladly be of service. I read better than I write, so don't be scared off by that prospect if you happen across anything I have penned, lol. Goodnight, Saskia- |
