This e-mail is to let you know that one or more of your works has been

nominated in the Stargate Fan Fiction Awards 2005.

Before we can proceed, we really need your help.

Please read the rules page at the URL above very carefully even if you

have participated in the Awards before - it's important and many of the

guidelines are different this year.

1) Do you wish to accept the nominations and participate in the awards?

We really would like everyone to take part but if you DO NOT wish to be

included in the Awards, just let our webmaster know at deleteme and she will remove any/all nominated works.

(Please note that if you want your nominations removed from the Awards,

if any of your stories have a co-author listed we need to hear from both

of you.)

2) If you wish to participate, but something needs to be changed, please

contact the team using the contact form provided at the above URL and

we'll work with you to make any changes. For example:

Is everything spelled correctly?

Is the title of your story correct?

Is the nomination in an appropriate category?

Is the URL correct, and is it on a publicly accessible site?

(Please note that we *will* change or move stories if you feel there is

a more appropriate category or sub-category for your work but we will

*not* change URLs if the one listed is working. There are over a

thousand stories nominated and we simply don't have time to correct

things that are not wrong.)

3) If you have multiple nominations we do have a few rules:

A) Stories (and other fan works) can be in only one division, and only

one rating. They can only be SG-1 OR SG: Atlantis, and can be

Family-Rated OR Adult-Rated. If any of your nominations have been placed

in more than one division or have been placed in the wrong one, please

tell us where you want it placed. We do realise that some stories are

difficult to categorise, but for the Awards to work, we have to do it

this way.

B) Stories can be in only one sub-category. Sub-categories are organised

by character, team, friendship or relationship pairings. A story cannot,

for example be listed as "Character: Sam" in one category and

"Relationship: Sam/Jack" in anther.

(An exception is made for the "Other" categories eg: A story *can* be in

both "Relationship: Sam/Jack" and "Relationship: M/F" if there is no

Sam/Jack sub-category available in the second main category.)

C) A story cannot be in conflicting categories. It cannot, by

definition, be both Vignette and Novel at the same time. A list of

potentially conflicting categories is given on the site. Again, if you

need any help deciding what works best for your story, contact us and

we'll work with you on this.

D) Each author is allowed only one entry per category/sub-category. If

you have more than one story in Best Humor/Friendship: Jack/Daniel for

example, please tell us which story you wish to keep and which to move

or discard. (Co-authored stories are treated as if written by a separate

person so Joe can write a fic, Ann can write a fic and Joe and Ann can

write a fic together and all three can stay in the same

category/sub-category.) Stories can be moved to another appropriate

category if there is one available.

E) And a final rule: no more than 15 nominations for any one person in

any one division can go forward . For this purpose the divisions are:

SG-1 Fiction (all ratings combined), SGA Fiction (all ratings combined),

SG-1 Additional and SGA Additional. If you have received, for example 10

nominations in SG-1 Family-rated and 7 in SG-1 Adult-Rated, please

contact us and let us know which two to delete.

We hope to publish the nominations by 10 July so the latest we can

accept changes from you is 6 July. We cannot guarantee to act on

any changes sent to us after that date, though we will extend that

deadline if we are still in discussion with you. We are going to be

dealing with a lot of emails over the next two weeks, so if we don't

reply to you immediately, please be patient.

No! What have you done? This can’t be the end. Jonas and Cassie should live happily ever after. It shouldn’t end like this. This is just wrong. Please, can’t you make an alternative ending there it ends happily? Anyway great story.

This story has been terrific from the start. I have really enjoyed it. I hope you write another story featuring Jonas soon.

Great part. Had me worried there for a moment having Jonas dead but then he came back to life, loved that. loved Jack's comment about Jonas should stop doing that coming back, But I think he was delighted Jonas survived. It was so sad though that Cassie has died.

Oh No you can't do that, leave us hanging like that. Jonas apparently dead, you can't kill him off. Poor Cassie an old lady and thinking she killed him. Don't leave us handing too long please post more soon.

OMG! It's a good thing that you warned me about those ever appearing objects that cause harm, like walls, desks, tables, and...oh yes, WRITERS THAT KILL JONAS! Because that came in handy when he stopped breathing! I would have fallen' if I wasn't so tired already.

Anyway, now we have an old Cassie, a dead or dieing Jonas, and one very hard O'Neil. I just love that mix! Write more soon!
