That was heavy, but amazing. I can actually see Remus killing Peter with that last line. Probably throttling him with his bare hands, or doing something very out of character and using the cruciatis curse on him. I agree that Remus would have followed Sirius into the veil, had he not had to hold Harry back from doing so and I think that it was beautiful that you included that in your story.

I have mixed emotions right now:

Angry as hell- How dare you! How dare you make me cry! How dare you make me remember Sirius and how (even if it was the last thing he would ever want to do) he deserted Harry.

Sadness- Making me remember Sirius, James, Remus and Harry. And then making me remember that the HP universe is over :(
