I would never think to ship boromir/merry before reading this but now i want to read more of it
also this made me cry so thank you for that

I feel as though I should have been reviewing this chapter-by-chapter as I read it, but as I started last night (at a friend's house) at about midnight (while watching Lord of the Rings, actually!) I didn't have the state of mind to do so. But my friend and I read and thoroughly enjoyed this story. Your writing is simple but effective, especially in your word choice, and you certainly have a lovely way of manipulating the English language. Your characters were incredible, from Pippin's naiveté to Merry's cheerful-yet-secretive demeanor. Each of these were portrayed wonderfully, and I felt my heart breaking for Merry in that Pippin could not love him in the way that he wanted so much. I Love that Boromir found more of himself in Merry than he'd have thought possible, and I loved that you took the reader through the start of Boromir's journey with the Fellowship to the end of it. I also loved that it wasn't COMPLETELY AU, and that it could have fit right into the between-the-scenes of the book. Stories like this are my favorite type. Anyway, I'm completely just gushing at the moment, but than you so much for writing this. It really is wonderful. )

WoW. Congratulations on an AMAZING story! Although this last chapter very closely followed the movie it was so well done you made me cry! It would be wonderful to have a sequel, or even just a short story of a few chapters to see Merry and Pippin make up and also come to terms with Boromir's death. But it could also be left how it is. I would love to hear a little more, because I still feel SO SO SO SO SO bad for Merry!

wOw! This chapter amazing. I can't even find the right words to express how moving and touching it is! Everything was simply phenominal. I hope Pip saw everything and finally understands. If Pip did witness that scene it would explain more than hours of explaination from Merry or Boromir. And your writing is so captivating that I seriously could see and hear and feel the conversation, the kiss, and the millions of emoitons. Congratulaitons! This is SPECTACULAR!

That was so wonderful how Boromir finally confided in Merry even after he was furiously trying to escape him. And Merry was so sweet being his pillow:D Their friendship is so wonderful.

I continue to be fascinated by this excellent story. Merry and Boromir's conversation in the dark was just heartbreaking! I noticed that for alot of the dialog you follow the movie quite closely, which makes it very interesting with most of the focus of the story on Boromir, Merry and Pippin, as appossed to the whole fellowship like in the movie or books. It's so great to see everything from Boromir's POV. Some of the things that you write about make perfect sense, but hadn't even occurred to me before. Like Boromir not being really really sad about Gandalf. Brilliant!
