Hey there. I see from your updates date that you haven't been on the site in a while so I don't know if you'll get this. I just wanna say that this story is my all-time favorite on this site. It's short but that of course has nothing to do with quality.

I'm hard pressed to think of another story with such honest emotion in it. I really feel like I understand Sonic's guilt, and certainly his grief - which I can see is for himself as well as Shadow. I feel terribly sorry for both of them, which I hope you'll take as proof of how well you portrayed them. Having Sonic's POV almost throughout was brilliant - you made him so consistent that I was totally fooled when the last chapter turned out to be from Shadow. And the final few words gave me chills and told me to immediately find and devour the sequel.

It's a fantastic story, I've thought so for a long time. Thank you for uploading it.
