I am very very excited by this excellent piece of work. After hearing so much about the actual novelisation I wanted to read it but at the same time didn't. This was exactly what I didn't know I needed, and I have a sudden need to print it off and save it so that I have it when I want it, instead of worrying that one day it might disappear. You have written the characters very well, and given so much backstory two things that I didn't know were there. You explain so much that was something you could discern from the movie but wasn't explained. That makes it better. Well it doesn't satisfy my current requirement for more Shadow material, this is definitely excellent. Well done

This is incredible. I am lucky to have discovered you as a fanfiction author. It is so difficult to find great fanfictions let alone find any for a niche fandom. I have read your stories 10 years ago when my english wasn't the best (am german) but I couldn't restrain myself because I knew that they are something special. Now I find myself always returning to all of them and still loving them all if not even more because I can see how amazing, rare and incredible you are Scarlet and I I really hope this review reaches you even though it's long overdue. It was remiss of me to review the original Shadow stories of yours that I have read so far, and neglect your novelization of the original film; especially since 'Nothing is Impossible' on its own added so much extra backstory and characterization to Lamont and his time with the Tulku.

I'll admit that at first, I was skeptical of the need for a story that mirrors the film's plot exactly. It's just a retelling anyway, why would I need that when I can just watch the movie? I should have known better, as ever you confounded my expectations and exceeded them manifold. It's hard to imagine watching the film now without your story providing added 'commentary', it fleshes it out and augments it so much, it truly improves the whole viewing experience.

There are so many admirable tidbits that I could mention: particularly the interactions between Margo and Lamont, their respective inner thought processes when they interact, subtle additions like the 'you heard' line after she saved him from Farley's lab, your descriptions of her tending his wound and their mental conversation after Shiwan Khan was defeated. Also, the match-up of minds between Khan and Lamont made so much more sense the way you told it: the square-up of a projective mind versus a receptive one, Khan's ability to exploit his opponent's arrogance, the reason Lamont was able to wrest control of Furba and make the mirrors explode.

It was all so excellent; I've read samples of the official novelization, they seem amateurish and inadequate compared to your version! You stayed mostly true to the film (I noticed slight differences in dialog here and there, small enough to be inconsequential) while adapting it to your purpose and forming a solid foundation for the series of original sequels that were to follow. If they ever remake The Shadow, they should employ you as scriptwriter without question!

To those who "dissed" the movie, allow me to point out that Maxwell Grant's Shadow (of the magazines and books), was a character of some difference from "The Shadow" of the Radio Programs. The Shadow of the Movie, borrowed from both and spun another section of the legend. These stories (including "Anything is Possible, Nothing is Impossible") Continues "The Shadow" of the 1994 movie - with a style and grace that is breathtaking!

The Shadow movie was the first I had ever heard of the character, but the novelization dragged itself on implied action and too much focus on unimportant detail in the middle of the action sequences.

When I started writing fanfics, I started with The Shadow and went looking for inspiration. I found this.

I learned a lot for your writing Scarlet, and a lot about the character too. I am thrilled that you decided to put your fics up here. For one thing, lots and lots of people can find them here now, and for another, there just isn't enough Shadow fanfic out there.

Forgot something. Batman would have an even more interesting contrast with the Shadow

Though it's an expanded upon retelling of the movie, the interpeted parts were very well done. I've read your previous Shadow fic which is even better. It would be interesting if you did a crossover with a character who contrasts or shares certain similarites with the Shadow. A Ghost Rider crossover would be crazy.
