I relate with Luna as I was severely bullied all throughout school, yet I never told an adult. My home life was shite and so was school, so I just kept my head down and tried to get through every day as best as I could. Now, as an adult, I am wondering if telling someone would have helped or just made the situation worse.

Did you mean "five dozen" as hyperbole, or do you really mean that that there are twice as many students in Hogwarts 1992 class as there were in 1991?

Pretty cool so far. Will this Harry end up being substantially stronger than canon Harry in any way, or be a prodigy kind of like Tom and Dumbledore, or is he gonna be around the same power level as he was in canon? I'm liking the interactions with Astoria as well.

Perhaps Harry should tell others just what they told the snake rather than let rumor spread.
Also try to focus on Malfoy cheating in a duel, not something pure blood society should tolerate, even from the worst sort of Slytherin.

This chapter also got me thinking, what if its the peverell like that Parsaltongue comes from? That would explain the slytherin/Gaunt line and Harry.
