I’m always elated to see someone coming back to something she/he liked in the past. And it’s a plus if that one even write or do art for that past and present interest.
About the story, I feel sorry for d’Artagnan to be in that awful situation when he can do nothing else than wait for his death... I think he will fear the dark and closed spaces for a long time!
I also feel for his friends who doesn’t know if they would be in time to save him or if they will be to late to do it...
But I also come about a trope that I don’t know from where it come and took root on the fandom: d’Artagnan doesn’t even dream to be at least as good if not better than Aramis or shooting, or to be better than Porthos in hand to hand combat, but he is sure he will one day best Athos on swordfight!... Why? How?

The first part is really spooky and one feels the claustrophobia indeed!

The other part, with the guys searching for d'Artagnan, with its urgency, brings us to the last part where they are united again.

D'Artagnan trying to remember his mother and his statement about what he thinks his destiny will be are both sad and chilling.

OMGGG what a horrible nightmare for d'Artagnan and all he went through in that horrible coffin. Athos feeling terrible boiut how they ended things before he vanished.. Hopefully he'll remember that lullaby .. till then he will best Athos (well we would love tpo see that Athos wont let it be easy ... great to have you back

Lovely story. I've also done a series over at Archive with the mad, bad guy burying d'Art to get to Athos. Also an ongoing story by another writer recently has done something similar. Guess we love the Gascon so much that we need to torture the poor lad. LOL!
