I mean eidetic or photographic memory would help to but I don't know how it affects memories from before getting those two...

Wouldn't the first skill he gain have to be something to do with observation considering he was looking around at that time and it'll fit with his name... but eh

honestly if he sees a skill that doesn't have obvious side effects than he should learn it, even if he leaves them in the back burner, I mean he could have used that gas one for many things, like couldn't he create a healing gas bomb? or something like that? hell can't he create a gas that boosts stamina whilst inhaling it? honestly it's making me think the MC has little imagination for someone that has been raised on anime and manga or whatnot ..
