Why do they immediately assume Wash is from alternate universe? The UNSC has hundreds of colonies and Wash used to be a part of Project Freelancer. His immediate assumption would be that he ended up on a colony somehow

The line "this equipment malfunctioning and tearing a a hole in the fabric of reality" gets me because Wash's life has just been a mess, which just keeps on getting messier and weird that he's fast to accept being a different universe-world lmao.
Also, Yang, Pyrrha, Ren please help Wash with talking and releasing his emotions in a safe, healthy manner and environment, he needs it. Hmm, Wash seeing in Jaune's potential makes me thing Jaune is going to be the Tucker for him in this .

Cardin and pretty much everyone else are lucky that they are dealing with Recovery!Wash and not S8!Wash because S8 Wash was done with everything, he ignored morals and was just done he wouldnt be nice enough to just to knock Cardin unconscious with a simple kick.
I'd imagine in another life slash au, Jaune does ask for advice how to deal with bullies and everyone looks at Wash to see what he says and Wash just has flashbacks of him smashing his childhood bully's face in the mirror, nearly blinding him and simply says, "Lets just go with Nora's idea of just breaking his legs"

Wash is thinking, so far, iirc, South is the only thing from Freelancer here, but is in for a rude surprise when the Meta appears. Speaking of the Meta, the only way I can think of it getting taken out before V4 would be sometime during the Fall of Beacon because only experience fighters like Qrow, Tyrian, Hazel etc would stand a chance against him . Only Wash, out of the students is capable of fighting the Meta for some time, but that almost always costs him almost dying, and only Pyrrha is skilled enough to fight, with the her semblance giving her an advantage. Imagine the advantage Salem would get if she got the Meta on her side. She would gain another tank alongside Hazel, and Watts could possibly create AI's or aspects of it. Sigma wants to become human, and meeting an immortal being would probably get him to want to work alongside Salem.

On a lighter note, aww, Wash is ready to accept RWBY (and JNPR) as his friends, calling Jaune a friend and move forward enough to try the whole team and friendship thing again. Now they just have to deal with Wash's self-destructive behavior and plans and help him slowly heal to enjoy the small things in life instead of just 'survival mode'. Can't wait for them to learn that Wash is a giant dork, who simply needed a new family -friends to bring back that part of him.

I'm looking forward to starting this! Though it's going to be odd to have two Wash/Jaune's and if Carolina shows up, a Carolina, and Nice Carolina/Pyrrha.

So with the latest chapter being released, it’s really REALLY good, Im heavily enjoying the story so far, and everything seems good, what I liked from the most recent chapter was that for south, I liked that she was having the thoughts of how wash was like before the epsilon incident happened and how much he changed from it. And a bit on how cold wash was at times, showing while still being nice and all of that. He can still be cold and emotionless

I really, really, love Wash's relationship with Ruby, it may be a few scenes, but I adore that it seems that he has a soft spot for her, and is essentially the Caboose/Donut for him. He and pretty much all the freelancers deserved to have had these friendships and moments, but the Director took it away from them. I'm going to enjoy it while it last because V3 is going to come soon, and he and South are going to have to deal with another death of a friend, more lies, the real battle and Salem's existence.

Wash when he eventually interacts with South in person , "Had it not been for the laws of this land, I would have slaughtered you" because I'd imagine murdering a fellow peer, would be very much illegal since he now has to abide by laws lmao
Also I'm like at the mention at Souths observation of how different Wash is I'm like, "to be fair South, wash literally just got out of a place where he had to keep his sanity, sense of identity and memories in tact and separate it from Episilons, while being in a place with the Counselor telling him it was no one's fault, but Wash knew every dirty little secret and lie the Director did AND had to cope with Epsilons suicide while being left behind and betrayed in a short span of the freelancers fighting each other and when he finally got out, almost all his former friends are dead and probably has severe PTSD from Epsilon of course he's changed"

I also have to mention that I love that South has a role in this story, and isn't immediately killed off ( now I'm wondering if she ever will since she, like Wash, has a new team and second chance - well third with Wash) cause there's so much potential for her. Especially if it involves Qrow and Raven and can possibly see that she was Raven, but has a chance to mend her relationship with Wash, since North is dead. Not to mention she could actually talk to Raven to reconsider patching up with Qrow and her family; despite South's actions, I really do think she cared and loved North, and if V4 and V5 are written and she's alive by then with the possibility of being with RWBY and JN_R, I'd imagine she would miss and regret what she did to North and use that regret and experience to relate to Raven.

Man, I would love if Wash and South can be teammates again, it definitely would take a while for Wash to forgive, not to mention to trust her again, but a team up would be amazing, having more experience in the battlefield and being comrades at one point.

Speaking of them, not sure if you're still taking up ideas about semblances, but I'll make it easier on myself, and give Wash an EMP semblance, cause it was his armor enhancement at one point, but it also suits him since he's very practical, preferring to not be flashy when fighting. Like with it he could mess and/or with most weapons as they transform, and by using this type of semblance would either permanently damage or mess with the speed or functionality of the mechanics of the weapon. Additionally, it would also make dust useless since dust is Remnants energy source. So it wouldn't be a powerful, combat power, but a very useful support power, which I feel like RWBY is lacking, with Weiss having the best support power.
Though, I'm not sure about South and Meta. Man, Maine slash Meta is a tank without aura, he be practically unstoppable with it- but to add a semblance? RIP to anyone who fights him.
