Perfect. You don’t over complicate things. Really liked how you portrayed the initial tension and subsequent resolution between Archer and Trip and also the warmth between Malcolm and Trip at the end.

What a great ending to your story! You do this so well: Giving room to all of the bridge crew, capturing each character in just a few sentences, making their interactions very intense to read, evoke a lot of feelings and last but not least you manage to add that pinch of humor that makes your readers smile and laugh. A great ending to your story! Trip talking it out with Archer, T'Pol relieved that Reed is alive, Hoshi and Travis musing. I loved the wager the crew had, and I can totally see Malcolm being self conscious about his appearance. I can just imagine Malcolm sneaking out to the mess hall at night, and running into Hoshi, haha. Would love to see that scene. Good to see the friendship between Trip and Malcolm. I watched the Risa episode recently and they sure have their adventures together! Thank you for writing. Be safe and well, my friend.

Seriously, though, it was another class act of a story. Archer should be very thankful Trip has such a forgiving nature, but I wouldn't trade on it too often now if I were him!

Combined effort and they got their man. Liked the strength you gave to Bernhard. The fallout’s not going to be pretty for some though.

It's most satisfying that Trip, Malcolm *and* Bernhard had a hand in apprehending Davies - and of course our favorite armory officer is in need of Phlox' administrations near the end of the story!
So now it's time to eagerly expect the last chapter with all its emotional fallout - I bet Malcolm's protests against being in sickbay will be very tame compared to the things Trip will have to say to him and the captain!

Oh, Malcolm...he's hyperfocused on his mission, but needs Trip to point out there are some flaws in his plan. I'm glad Bernhard was there to come to their aid. I'm looking forward to some reflections on this op by the crew, and some gentle ribbing at Malcolm's disguise. All under the watchful eye of Dr. Phlox!

Hurrah, the villain has been apprehended! And now come the ructions when the dead return to life and Trip buttonholes Jon on the subject of not being trusted with the truth. The cap'n better have some good answers ready...

I'm very pleased to read that the boys have escaped their prison and traitor Davies loses more and more control about this little plan of his! I wonder who will have the honors to catch him in the end - Ensign Müller or Malcolm and Trip? I can't wait to find out and will check every hour or so for an update...

Okay, we have a cold-hearted murderer on our hands...Go get him, boys! But it seems that Malcolm is in no condition to apprehend their crewmate. Müller to the rescue! I hope he makes Reed proud!

Well, it's just as well that Malcolm and Trip managed to find the window - just in time, it seems!

It definitely seems to be a case of too many cooks spoiling the broth with this particular operation. Poor Archer doesn't seem to be able to do right from wrong till now, but hopefully Bernhard will go down and do some mopping up!

From now on things should go uphill since Malcolm and Trip can combine forces - or, knowing our intrepid duo - maybe not? I can't wait for the next installment - also to see whether Hoshi gets in trouble for her discovery too (that Captain Archer *is* in trouble once Trip is back on the ship, that much is very easy to predict...)

Well the immediate fallout could have been a lot worse so I’m so glad they’re okay... for now at least. The pair slide into sync easily and they know how to work together to get themselves out of their predicament and locate Davies. I still think there will be some subtle fallout for Trip and Archer’s friendship (orders or no orders).
