The Grey Coincidence chapter 1 . 7/12
A fanfic of a fanfic. Recursive fanfiction. A fanfic of *my* fanfic. Of course I instantly love it. I would love it no matter how it was written purely because it *is* a fanfic of my fanfic but honestly I can appreciate this one-shot for more than just that.

You have a very cartoony-style of writing, which I adore for obvious reasons. The description of the sign was well-done I only regret that it wasn't 'Southwards- 3 miles south' to match with the other two locations on display :P

Ah Rinner, I remember you! Even though it has been so long... Several years already? And yet the first thing your author does is throw you at the wall of fur and muscle that is Kew-Kew. I do love that this is entirely from his perspective mind. One of the more fun things about writing Kew-Kew is seeing how the different characters he interacts with all react differently to him. Some scream, some run, some run screaming! Rinner, it seems, belongs to this third category. I love the description of his legs morphing into circles- just like in good ole Loony Tunes (and honestly Kew-Kew is such a Loony Tunes character).

Rinner of course doesn't get very far before running into a tree. He's knocked unconcious and has a wonderful dream of having breakfast with a very pretty weaselmaid. And it's all very hilarious because the weaselmaid in his dream is actually Kew-Kew in real life. And I just love it when dream-actions sneak into real life like that. It's such a lovely trope (never mind that I think all dream-tropes are lovely).

Although if everything that happens in his dream happened in reality... Kew-Kew must really like the taste of weasel. He licks everyone, mind, but not enough to suffocate them XD

And then Rinner wakes up and finds himself in his own nightmare. He's covered in saliva and 'alone with her in this cabin. He screams of course (who wouldn't?) and that's it! We're left with a lovely open ending. Did Kew-Kew eat Rinner? Did he use him as eagle bait? Did he ever serve him a platter of pine and eggs?

Nobody knows and that is the beauty of a one-shot. This was a lot of fun to read and I am of course, incredibly flattered that you even wrote it. Thanks a bunch!
