It is an odd feeling, seeing someone write your story better than you do. But that's a small price to pay for something this excellent! You've really got the characters down.

I never thought about using the translator microbes for Ben rocking out. That's just inspired. And I love watching the two of them have fun! Gwen's never going to have fun at concerts again after this. No one else could compare to her Ben.

Might want to add some bits to the music section that match up with the OG jam session, where Ben is watching Gwen dance. As is, it feels like 90% music narration with a little bit of Ben and Gwen.

Love that you did the Linguistics Taste Fight thing, poor Gwen at Karate, heh.

The "music is language" thing, while totally a possibility for some alien species somewhere out there, really feels more like a "music is so awesome" thing, since the nanobots would have to be programmed with the language and something tells me those songs weren't written as secret messages by aliens.
Also, with the flavor would have come the literal message, i.e. the words translated into English.

It would be like the brain bugs translating body language cues or anything similarly contextual.

Uhm a two mile walk should only take about 20-30 minutes. I, when I was a sedentary nerd in middle school, managed a 15 minute mile walking.

I think you did well to split this up, keeping the first half as prep with Paul and the second being either Ben and Gwen's day together or Gwen's morning with Michelle and then their afternoon. Heh, alliteration.

To be honest I would've been on the "Bwen is sick and wrong!" train if it weren't for the fact that they were supposed to be a couple in the first place and were changed to cousins at the last minute.

I remember being so damn confused as a kid because I wanted to ship them but the rational part of me was like "They're related! Wtf is wrong with you?!"

Felt less weirded out by my line of thinking when I learned that the vibes I was picking up weren't imaginary, just leftovers of a dynamic that was supposed to happen but didn't because the bigwigs just HAD to mess with it.

However one of the reasons I reject Alien Force is because of Gwen x Kevin. It's so forced and the fact that Gwen totally disregards the fact he nearly killed both of them multiple times as if they never happened makes no fucking sense. I know I wouldn't want to date someone who nearly killed me and my family no matter how good they seem to be after. Friends? Maybe. More? Hell no.

Ben would think 9:30am is too early for landscapers. Pfft, he should be glad they aren't starting at sunrise, or before, like at a golf course.

Might want aafter Paul's name for the texts, having it all be bold might confuse what part is text with what part is who it's fr for some people, especially non-native English speakers.

Okay, speaking in different languages to find weird tastes to tease each other with is genius and totally something they would do. I'm not decided on who would 'win' that battle though. Whoever thinks of getting hold of Max and having him say things in a bunch of different alien languages to test out first, I guess.

The message in the song titles thing is kinda cheesy, but exactly the kind of cheese I would expect from a Tennyson boy, heheh.
