Cool chapter, hoku is really interesting, can't wait for him and subaru to meet

I’ll going to put this bluntly, your OC ruins the story.

I know you said that you don’t know what personality you want your OC to have, but that does not change the fact that it is the worse part of the fiction.

From chapter 1-3 he goes from timid (How he initial reacted to getting isekaied) to arrogant (Demanding to know where he was from the archbishops), to shy (His interaction with Pandora), to naive (Him thinking that the witch cult weren’t the worse people), to kind (Him saying he doesn’t want to be apart of a group the kills people), and finally then manipulative (his interaction with the guard).

Of these, I think the worse is how he went from passionately refusing to be apart of the witch cult, to immediately joining them because he was threatened.

An idea you could’ve done was have him try to live a normal life, then have the people he interacts with turn on him and try to kill him after they find out he is the Archbishop of Melancholy. Resulting in him turning to the cult.

There is a Re: Zero X RWBY story with the witch cult in remnant, but yeah, I think you're writing the only non-crossover one

This mysterious person could be anastasia though i doubt it.

I see we have similar tastes in best girl, I’m really excited to see someone act like someone they are not, seeing how he’s supposed to be melancholy

I'm looking forward to see his interactions with the rest of the cast. The other Archbishops treat him like a colleague at least. The others... won't be that positive, I suppose.
There's also this interesting contrast! Subaru's Return by Death ability helps him survive, yet fucks him up mentally. And he willingly joined the good guys. Hoku's ability protects him from dangerous abilities and was forced to join the antagonists.
I'm also looking to see him expand his new gravity authority!

How will he get stronger maybe ley can teach him or give him memories of using a blade.

Really good so far and i love how the archbishops interact. To be honest i think the mc hoku is a bit weak for a cardinal sin as their authorities are supposed to beat anyone in a 1v1 if they dont know anything beforehand. Except reinhard.

Another good chapter. It’s really interesting to see all the archbishops in the same room, since we never saw that in all the web or light novels. Hector is the Warlock of melancholy, not the archbishop, unlike what another reviewer said, so there’s no problem with having your OC be the archbishop of melancholy.

As I recall, the Archbishop of melancholy is Hector.
