Ah, as always you never fail to pull me in with your writing! I can totally see both sides to the house sale argument and I can physically feel Two-Bits pain when he learns why Steve collapsed. I can feel the anguish Steve is going through and the pain Johnny and Dally are dealing with. It’s amazing how you capture each character with such emotion and grace! I can’t wait for your next update!

Reading that first scene, I just wonder how does it not dawn on Soda what's going on here? Part of me hoped Steve would blurt it out and say something about how it's hard to even look at those pills. Especially since Soda's incident was very recent. Not that I blame Soda at all because he's obviously grieving, and maybe it's hard for him to come to terms with what nearly happened himself. It'll surely be interesting when he watches Steve take the pills every night!

I knew what Darry was going to say about moving! And it's certainly not a surprise that Soda reacted so strongly. Darry sees it as taking care of themselves, and he sees it as leaving their family behind. I can empathize with both of them!

I love TwoBit reminding Steve he's an adult and Steve's a minor! :)

It's difficult to make me like a story without Pony in it, but you have managed to accomplish what is not at all an easy task and do it with the right dash of dialogue, description, and plot. My heart is twisting (and I guess that's a good thing?) Can't wait to read more from you.

I can totally see where Darry's train of thought is leading, and that would be a hard subject to bring up with Soda, especially so soon.

I knew the withdrawal was going to catch up with Steve eventually. I know it must've been hard for Soda to see him in the hospital, even though he's okay. I can see where TwoBit is coming from too since Steve wasn't being truthful about taking his pills.

But I wonder if Steve can keep the promise to Soda that he just made? He really needs to tell him what's going on!
