Hermione’s a tad bit too violent... maybe It is just because she has never had friends before but it’s weird she is getting so mad and punchy over some pretty tame jokes.

It is nice to see Harry and Neville start a friendship so early.

I’m going to keep reading, since I do like the story outside of the weird anger stuff.

Good chapter. Looks like the "new golden trio" won't be putting up with Ron's behaviors. Look forward to meeting some of the other students, and also learning is this a "greater good" Dumbledore, a caring one, something else...?

"They thought it over their heads."? I mentioned the last one I caught, but there are a number of these sorts of mistakes. You might have someone read it out loud to you to see if that's really what you wanted to say.

Nice start. Will be nice to see if they start to hang around with others, like Susan and Hannah, no matter what house they end up in, not to mention their reaction to how Ron behaves (not studying, messy eater) when he's no longer the "first friend".

Good start and looking forward to reading more. Hopefully Neville will continue to help Harry finding about his family history. It would also be nice to have all 3 of them in a different house, maybe Hufflepuff? There are not many stores with that house. It will also help I believe with the confidence on Harry and Neville.
