Feel like there's definitely something up with Lily - maybe she's secretly an alchemist, which might explain her knowledge of the subject and lack of drowning? - but all in all, the next chapter is likely where things wrap up. Well done as always!

If the wall is thin enough... would, say, a sudden rush of water form a wall that was shattered by a sonic screwdriver provide enough force to blow through it, allowing the Doctor to ride the wave through until Simon sets up a new wall that (unfortunately for him) allows the Doctor to be safe inside the base, perhaps?

I always find it fun noting the negative traits the Doctor has that aren't "desire to commit genocide on the Daleks," because it's often those same negative traits that made me like them in the first place. 13 and her arrogance, for example, are fun when taunting the enemy, though the unfortunate follow on inherent in arrogance is that the enemy - surprise surprise - is more capable than she realises. Same for 12, who would mock the enemy for being idiots only to mock his allies for being g idiots in the same manner, but the allies have to put up with it because he is trying to save the day (he should just be less of a prick about it). 10 could also be really insensitive, but thankfully his companions made up for that.

Regardless, it's just as I predicted. Now that Ivan has revealed himself to be the villain, he shall use the main controls to try to kill the squad while Simon explains that he ran off because door controls don't just shut themselves down, they have to actually BE shut down, except when he tried to investigate it was revealed that Ivan himself is also an alchemist who has locked Simon out. That's 100% what I'm guessing it will be.

Boa? Absolutely yes. And I must say, I'm greatly enjoying this character development Pride seems to be going through.

Interesting. This is most definitely a unique take on the Doctor and their companions, one I shall very much enjoy following.

It's the classic prank - older woman and younger child travel through the fourth dimension. Woman leaves child emotionally vulnerable. Child gets drugged. It's practically a rule of April Fools day. Or at least that's what my Aunt told me...
