Miska is baby. We must protect her.

This was a great chapter. I liked how you introduced us more to Miska and her relationship with her siblings. I want to give her a hug. It's awful that she feels responsible for what happened to her mother.

And she had a hand in making sure she met her husband? "Yes, children. I met your dad because I unintentionally helped unearth the Avatar." That's neat.

I'm so entertained by this foreword! I love the reference to The Boy In The Iceberg and I love Miska's voice — although poor Sokka haha, I like his jokes!

I love how you can take something as simple as a foreward and make it so intriguing, that I need to have more chapters! Ughh, you mentioning Zuko as Miska's husband and their children/grandchildren makes me excited to read their eventual romance.

Well, I just binged the entire series with my brother and I swear, reading your fic made it seem like the show was missing a character. Miska is a wonderful blend of Sokka and Katara and she fits perfectly in the series. I can't wait to see how she interacts with the rest of the characters, especially Zuko. Since you mentioned the Ember Island Players, I'm giggling just thinking about their portrayal of Miska.

You have perked my interest in why she doesn't waterbend anymore. I wonder what lead up to that unfortunate event :( Maybe Zuko could help reignite it ;)

Again. I’d like to say I’m so happy for the resurge of interest in ATLA. I had watched it as a kid but I sadly never finished it so I’m so happy tumblr reminded me of it and introduced so many new fans! I really love her so much already and wanna give her a big hug. I cannot wait to see what you do with her!

Oooooooo! I'm excited! Miska is sort of a cross between Katara and Sokka, a middle ground so to speak, so it does make sense that she would be the peacekeeper among the group. But she seems to have her own dark secrets and hang ups, so she and Zuko will seem right at home with each other! Lol. Really though, there are a lot of new stories and possibilities you can explore, in conjunction with the canon even, so even if you stay canon compliant for awhile, there's a lot that you can work with! Great update and I can't wait for more friend!

Okay, so I'm really enjoying Miska! And I really like the whole tone of this fic, with Miska as the narrator. It sort of has the vibe of sitting with a friend and listening to them tell a story. It feels really cozy/comfortable. And it's apparent in the writing that you're enjoying this, which is always a bonus! I look forward to seeing more of this!
