I was surprised to see a fic based on Next Dimension, let alone one that had Ecarlate in it. It was sweet for Ecarlate to do so, but that ending makes me wonder if it is a happy or a tragic ending with what happened afterward. But regardless, Ecarlate had good intentions and that is what matters.
