Hey man! I’ll start by saying, I spent a few weeks (which seemed like months) searching for some fix-it/rewrite fics for TLOU2 and yours was the only one that popped up. It has me hooked from the get-go, firing on all cylinders. I love how you’ve managed to set up a lot of interesting stuff for the main plot (which looks like it’s gonna take a surprising and different direction that I can’t wait to see) while also giving us a lot of the feel-good stuff in Jackson with Joel and Ellie.

I also love how things aren’t completely perfect, even with how idealistic a place like Jackson would appear to be on the surface, during an apocalypse. People will always be people and people tend to do good and bad things, tell lies, struggle with relationships etc. no matter where or when they exist. I also can’t wait to see how you handle Owen and Abby, since you’re already writing a way better sequel than naughty dog gave us. I sincerely hope you keep writing, I for one and going to be a loyal reader. Cheers! :)

Thank you for this, Ellie is a little bratty, but I'm strangely ok with it, because she was that way in the first game. The sequal wasn't good, the first half was alright, and it became a raging dumpster fire after, the sad thing is enough people made threats to devs that our collective constructive criticism is no longer valid, and they believe they did nothing wrong. Now it's just you liked it, or your a hater. It's bull, it was a slap in the face to one of the greatest games of the last decade, and sadly I don't think naughty will do anything to fix the formula to the beauty it once was.

Although on the back form the brink thing, Sarah didn't really need to bring Joel back form the brink before her death & the outbreak and Tess kinda seemed the same amount of good/bad as Joel when she was alive as his partner in crime, confidante, and closest friend at the time.

As for Abby & Owen & their people I kinda hope they make their way to Jackson or somewhere with Jackson being on the way there, in a truck or trucks fixed by Bill with a lot of supplies. With some supplies lost/gained on the way there & have everyone but Bill & Abby die by the time they get to Jackson or just have only Bill live.
Another idea is they could leave Bill for dead & steal his stuff, then Bill could hunt them down and kill them one by one as they run to the west cost , with Bill ending up in Jackson, maybe sparing Abby.

Also with the double date, I kinda wonder if their will be romance parings? I'm a Ellie/Joel & Joel/Tess & Riley/Ellie & Tess/Ellie fan as far as parings. But I am not sure that would work in this story, unless Tess didn't turn for some reason & the FEDRA took her alive after hitting her with a tranquilizer dart.

so not a deep bite on Ellie as she not immune to blood loss. hope she had a turtleneck sweater on.

Also with all that wood around Jackson they could make a lot of new wood furniture or buildings and I guess they would need farms in and around Jackson. maybe they could build a wood green house for the winter?

Also wonder if the FEDRA still has access to reconnaissance satellites.

Man, i feel i could just kiss you now. In few words you condensed what i have been saying these past days. This game had me so frustrated...

yep. i completely agree, the sequel did absolutely nothing for me other than induce depression. i’ve been looking for a good fanfic that basically rewrites the story or attempts to explore what happens after the first game in a meaningful way, but it seems like most of the new fics out there are a continuation of part 2’s story... no thanks. i absolutely ADORE your writing, i was sucked in from the first few lines. you have captured these characters so damn well, it seriously feels like i’m just swimming around in Ellie’s head while reading this. the way you’ve written this is exactly how i imagined she would think, and it’s just such a joy to see these characters done justice. major kudos dude, this is some seriously good shit. also: I NEED MORE so please keep going with this story. this is curing me of the depression i got from playing the sequel, so if for no other reason, keep on writing this for my sake.
