That is exactly how I ended up with a puppy a few years ago. It was one of the coldest days of the year (I live in South Georgia so it wasn't snowing) and when I got home from work she was huddled up near the air conditioner and my other dogs were barking at her. She looked like a dog that had passed away about a year earlier so we kept her.

Aww poor Dana; her surprise was ruined but I wonder if the kitty was the surprise or if it is something different?
