"And I'm not really asking. I was just trying to be polite." I love Bill. He's so funny. And always taking in double meanings, lol. That was a great conversation between him and Nathan. I like that he recognized that Nathan would put Allie first, and therefore would put a family first, whereas Jack always put his job and fighting the good fight first. That was a great scene.

Umm...Nathan needs to snap out of it! He's best for Elizabeth, and he needs to take Bill's advice: "Don't be a coward." Thank God for Bill. He always speaks the truth. Gah, poor Nathan! He's so self-sacrificial, but I hope he realizes that he can love Elizabeth and ask her to love him too. They are so perfect together, he just needs to realize that :)

Yes, it will be a painful conversation. I'm not looking forward to it because I expect two hearts will be broken. I am eager to read the rest of the story, though. So to get to that we have to have the hard conversation first.

Yay! They *finally* talk! I love how you wrote the interaction between Elizabeth and Nathan. I kept waiting for her to hug him or touch him in some way, and the fact that you had her put her hand on his heart, and then he put his hand on hers, was so beautiful! And I liked the nod to the plaque and "always do what you're afraid to do." Great chapter!

Dang! At last Nathan talked... a little! If only people realized that asking for help when one needs it is strength - and that it takes more strength and courage to live for someone than to die for someone! Yes, I definitely needed this chapter. It hurts my heart to see Nathan, Elizabeth, and Allie hurting so much when talking things out will help them all - especially because of the love they share! Looking forward to more!

Well that went okay. They are finally moving forward even if it is only a little. I am glad that Allie is spending the night with Elizabeth. Writing in a journal should be beneficial for her.

And I just love how Allie's friends are there for her in this chapter, and how she opens up to Elizabeth about what's on her mind. Little Women is a great book - I'm glad Elizabeth recommended it. Opal sure has a kind heart! It is wonderful that the children of Hope Valley have learned to be there for someone in need just like the adults. Now I look forward to a possible interaction between Nathan and Elizabeth when she drops off the book.
