Man, you are absolutely right about Maruki and Sumire having such a strong foil dynamic. You showed that off expertly. As for the Ren x Sumi fluff, holy crap, I was in love. The way the two were just playing off each other was nothing short of a rollercoaster ride I didn't want to get off. Love those two together.

I really do feel like a broken record when I say that you're an incredible writer. Each chapter feels even more immersive than the last, and it's always in new and interesting ways! The confession was lovely, and your stance of Takuto as a foil for Sumi rather than Ren is really, really well done. Loved that you gave her the moments with him, instead. Also, every last bit of fluff you write just makes my heart soar!

What can I say other than that this story is criminally underreviewed. The way you portray Sumire's depression feels so... powerful. The angst and dread of her situation is just smeared in every inch of the narrative and syntax. And you're not afraid to throw in a little humor too, which I can appreciate. Her loss of energy, her unwillingness to go on, her encounters with Ren and her parents. They just know exactly where to hit and they hit hard.

Gosh, I really just love this fic more and more.

I wasn't expecting a chapter like this, but it really ties everything together. You've done an amazing job tying all your threads into a bow; I love your theming so much! Your writing is such a treat to read.

Everything about it, the ways it was presented were great. Going from Ren's perspective in the beginning, shifting to hers around the middle. Ren leaving the choice in her hands. All the little details and callbacks that even the characters didn't notice! Reminding us of those details puts us in the shoes of the character and draws us in even more! Very well done!

Such a heartwrenching, emotional chapter. A very cathartic, happy ending too! I'm so glad for all of them. Just reading along makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. Fantastic work as always.

This chapter was deep on so many levels that it makes me want to think very carefully about my own P5R story that I’m still working on the second chapter for, and that says how far ahead I’m in planning. Honestly you’ve inspired me what to write for whatever chapter this part of my own story will be on how to move forward even though I still have so much more to write before getting to Maruki’s palace.

You might not be completely satisfied with how you've written this but I've enjoyed it very much.

God, this was just the best. Turning Akira's reaching out to her to be perceived negatively by her is again, very real. Her realizing he was pulling her out, that he was being her light, and realizing she loved him, then turning it into a literal cry for help as she goes to the palace for closure, knowing he was the one person she trusted to save her? *chef's kiss* The buildup throughout the chapter is so well done, and you can really feel it ramp up. Absolutely love this fic, and the ways it makes you feel. Thank you for this. Always looking forward to more!

Her parent's reactions, especially her father seeing her off were so heartfelt. This fic is very well done. And Ren literally staking out Inokashira on a hunch for 4 days, to make sure his friend is okay is so pure. You're right, it was a heavy chapter, but it's because you make Sumire's depression feel so real. The way every little problem feels a thousand times worse and drags her down, the way that sometimes people showing they care only highlights how low you think of yourself, and the feeling of being trapped, unable to do even things that bring you joy because you feel you don't deserve it. So incredibly well done, thank you for this. You did a fantastic job of conveying these emotions.
