I forgot to mention that I really liked the reference to Frank Herbet's Dune. Very fitting given the prevalence of sandworms in the series.

This is a critically underated story. I really loved just about everything in it. Some stuff seemed a little undercooked, mostly dealing with the betrayal of Ace-Ops and their defeat, but everything else was excellent. Though I also can't help but feel that the country of Atlas turned into a tragedy considering Weiss became a iron-fisted absolute monarch. Those don't exactly bring good governments.
