Definitely an interesting story concept, though I think you should have focused more on Izanagi. For starters 'Kami' is a being, not a person, there is no god NAMED 'Kami', they are all 'Kami', 'Okami' means GREAT Spirit or God. In Shintoism, the personification of the ultimate divine being is also male, so it would make more sense than a female named Kami, contrary to popular beliefs, the ONLY religions that depict a Goddess as the ultimate creator are ancient Celtic paganism, most religions are patriarchal including all of Asia's religions, Goddesses in Shintoism have the same misogynist background as other religions, Izanami was abandoned by her husband in Yomi, Ama-no-Uzume was forced to marry Sarutahiko similar to Aphrodite being forced to marry Haephestus, and Kushinada-hime was forced to become Susano's bride, hate to break it to anime fans, but Goddesses aren't any different in Asian religions than they are in Greek.

Good story. Maybe teaming with Sasuke and go full lighting team for both vengeance. Fighting the dead hokages and Jiraiya with both. Maybe konoha do tensei with Kushina to try reason with Naruto but it backfires and teams up with Naruto going double kurama against Minato. A motivational speech of Naruto with the released tailed beast to fight for their independence and they fighting like a team and intelligently. Konan with her millions paper infused with kuramas chakra. a fight between asuras and indras reincarnations? About the actual story i would need to read more to suggest something.

Bit confused by the actions of the Shinto deities.

As the Prophecy clearly stated that he'd either save the world or destroy it, but that the choice would be his.

So I'm not getting why they're whining about Naruto's actions.

Sure they may have wanted him to save it, but that's not what the Prophecy said.

Free Will and all that jazz.

Seems more like a childish temper tantrum rather than anything else.

Still, looks like Naruto is going to have to go Longinus hunting to have an extra ace up his sleeve vs. the Tyrants.

Also you might want to get a Beta. There were quite a few missing words throughout the text.

- Fights
About on par with some of the better ones in the Anime.

- Swordsman
As it's likely that Uzushio practiced swordsmanship if Kiri thought them a rival, than it's rather appropriate he is one.

Also as Ameyuri's last student he would be the rightful bearer.

- Elemental Rasengans
Seemed fairly good to me, although am I right in suspecting that he never got the Rasenshuriken to work, due to lacking Sage Mode.

- Sound Armour
Overall it works and it builds upon each other to make a greater whole.

Having said that, I was initially confused and thinking that he'd joined the Sound village and learned the jutsu there.

- Prequel
While the altered tidbits you offered are interesting, I can't help but worry that it would take focus away from this story and that it would end up abandoned.

Seen it happen far too many times before. Each time the author swears that it won't happen, that they'll finish things. And it's MAYBE 1 in a 1000 that pulls it off and that's me low balling it to try and remain optomistic.

Maybe you can revisit the idea when this one is done.
