I love how the story develops. It's pretty refreshing to read that. We viewers know whose house will be chosen, but I still hope that there will be frequent interactions with other students. The game shows that not even as a class teacher, he was important to others.

As a big fan of Rhea and Silver Snow myself, I am keen to see just where this story goes. I myself love the Rhea/Byleth pairing for how it redeems and develops Rhea, not that you are necessarily going to take such a route here.

As for the story so far, it is interesting to see how you expand on the in-game conversations. Making Jeralt more obviously uncomfortable with the situation (as opposed to how in the game he accepts it pretty quickly) should make for a nice contrast as he over time warms up to the idea that he didn't need to leave the monastery to begin with, and even seems to rekindle his friendship with Rhea to an extent. Assuming you go that direction of course.

About the whole idea of Byleth being a professor, while it certainly is presented as suspicious, I also thought it interesting that the game does justify it to an extent with Byleth indeed being quite prodigious at combat instruction. As Hannemann notes in the mock battle, Byleth's experience as a mercenary is something that is quite an asset.

If it's not too presumptuous to offer, feel free to message me if you ever need someone to bounce ideas off of. As someone who's devoted a few hundred hours to Three Houses, I consider myself fairly well informed, perhaps obsessively so.

Certainly an interesting story so far, I look forward to how Sothis waking up and being active 24/7 is going to change the character dynamic.

It's also interesting to see a Byleth who has arrived at the officer's academy be portrayed as this "sheltered" I suppose is the term.

You seem to be emphasizing both Byleth emotional immaturity as well as how much information he lacks.

Sothis is probably only going to compound the issue once she wakes up fully.

I really hope Byleth turns down her “offer”. Mainly because I think this story is good on expanding the mercenary group and focus the father son relationship between byleth and Jeralt. Keep up the good work! It would be refreshing to not follow the main game routes!

Considering his origin, skills and what he becomes later how could there be not a op byleth haha!? Still he's practically a genius if he can teach almost everything from swordsmanship, healing and magic and the students can actually improve and learn from this from school arc and war arc. If this is silver snow route it be interesting to see a Rhea/Byleth fic. Expanding the mercenary group is fine for the most part, so the school should be fairly expanded as well with faculty and more students.
