Nice evolution of your interpretation of how Shawn became Maya's de facto father. Too bad Katy seemed to become SO unreachable and distant as this story unfolded. Let's hope Shawn finds a wonderful woman who will love him for who he is AND understand why he's being the best father possible to Maya!
