So Jeremiah's classes is soldier? what is your original character's skill set that could help in combat if he skilled in hand-to-hand or is average? if he's killed in combat then your original character could introduce brawling and Path of Radiance.. Weapon gauntlets or Just Use Close quarters combat to disarm opponent. But let's not get too far ahead of ourselves considering that this person is a average teenager.

You ever have that moment where you want to say something but you have so many things to say that you mull over it too long, so you just say something small that isn't close to anything you intended to say to begin with?
