Very nice, bittersweet story. I found it really cool how you described the Mustang team as if they were their own little universe of unspoken rules and understanding. I also really love how you tackled the idea of Hayate's passing. It's a concept I've thought of many times myself, but I could never settle on one string of thoughts concerning itI felt it was quite hard because of Hawkeye's complicated past and such, but you made it look easy. Your story was ultimately very simple, but I think it was perfect that way and I was happy to read it since I've been waiting for someone to write about that. I love how you put Hawkeye's thoughts into words, that she always blamed herself for the things that hurt and tormented her, but that Hayate's death wasn't one of those. A simple joy followed by simple grief.
