ah actually the Statue of Liberty was originally made to celebrate the enslaved being free FINALLY which in the original, first design, showed a black woman chains cut free but that’s also why the US sent it back the first time also, Sparta did kind of respect women’s right but I don’t like thinking of all white civilizations especially Rome and Greece since they were very racist and I imagine Hazel thinking the same (something to add if you wantbut great book so far
