Pretty good start here. The odd thing about this is how weak Luffy is. It's like he traveled back in time to right before he left Fusha village and didn't have any time to train his body up. Also not the biggest fan of time travel fics where he still has the Gumu Gumu no Mi instead of something way more badass like a Mythical Zoan Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Sun Wukong (since Luffy's based on Sun Wukong) and an extendable staff like Sun Wukong had.

I've noticed the changes, but still not fast enough I don't think. The current arc has demonstrated that most of the Straw Hats (particularly Nami, Usopp, and Chopper) are just way too weak for the New World. I don't feel like everyone will master basic Haki and Rokushiki by Alabasta, and it really seems like they'd need that by then then train their asses off during the time skip to even remotely resemble a Yonko crew.

I like the addition of Tashigi; I'm guessing she'll join up at the end of Alabasta when the Marines (at least try to) cover up what really happened.

I'll give a few suggestions, feel free to use or ignore. Usopp needs something with more oomph, maybe some kind of custom Kairoseki riflepistols so it would be strong enough for him to use like a staff in close quarters too. Not sure if it's logistically possible, but having Jinbei teach Nami Fishman Karate would be neat.

On the grander scale, I feel like Jewelry Bonney is very underutilized. With her Devil Fruit she could make Whitebeard, Rayleigh, Garp, Shiki, whoever, their prime age, Law could cure Whitebeard's disease if restoring his youth doesn't do it, etc. Law's fruit might be able to restore Shanks' arm if he's still lost it here. There are just a lot of possibilities.

Damn it, I thought this was a different story, but you just changed the summary. I still do not understand why you want Tashigi to be a Straw Hat Pirate since she does not bring anything to the table—specifically a unique role like everyone else.

I have quite the problem with your post note. For me keeping possible Straw Hats as characters pre time skip is quite restrictive. Most of them was introduce to crew like they meet Luffy and practically join at the same time (only exceptions are Robin and Jimbe) so why this will not happen in New World?
Second is that without list why you think particular characters corespond with one of four Luffy's characteristic is a little hard for me to see it. For me the fact that Sanji show compassion in situations you mentioned isn't really that special like most crew show compassion in their own way and same for other of four (mayby except Leadership). It's also again very restrictive like there are definitely 4 specific characteristic of Luffy not more and I know what each one of them is, there will be 3 crewmates for each not more because some already have 3 and I found 3 characters that will match for completion of others. Like it could as well be 7 more specific characteristic with 2 for each or only 3 little mor vauge with 4 or 5 crewmates for each.

Now more for specific characters and more as only my opinion.

I don't see Tashigi as Straw Hat, she is more portrayed as loyal follower of Smoker type of justice and, alongside him, a person that will help Coby create good type of marines in future but that's just my predictions
And my problem with Vivi is more of battle part of adventure. It's still shonen so the fighting is unavoidable and Vivi is weak. She was weak when she was introduce and it didn't change while the Straw Hats become stronger. If she would join now in manga there will be like no time for her to develop and become something more in the crew then just being there so I don't feel like her officialy joining, mayby being once more damsel in distress.

Looks like Tashigi will be a permanent member at this rate or forced into the position of being mis labelled a pirate and has to join as protection.

Seems interesting i always enjoyed fanfics that show the strawhats have an extended crew just dobt make luffy too OP he still needs to build his muscle mass and adjust to his body and so we wont see gear 4 until after timeskip

While the grammar is a little bit rough it’s easy to see you’re improvements in between chapters and overall I can tell that I’m really going to enjoy this story. It’s nice to finally read a one piece time travel fic where the author doesn’t blindly follow the canon story even though luffy has made a ton of different decisions this time around. Great chapter and hope you stay safe during quarantine as well

Well, the chapter felt a bit rushed. Though I can understand why. Still, you could have done a bit less summarizing do it didn't feel so abrupt when you changed perspectives.
