Ah I realize now why Markus Russo punched Elliot... it was so he could get out of that situation and into Witness Protection without his boss finding out. It makes sense, and I understand why Elliot offered him immunity as he is vital to their case but something about Markus still rubs me the wrong way, that he followed the "family business" and got Chelsea into that industry. And I understand why Olivia is upset. They are supposed to be working this case together and even though protecting Markus is important, he should have talked things through with her first because the fact is, they are both equals as captains and just as important to the investigation. I am glad that Elliot is apologizing and I hope they can talk things out soon, but I have to admit that I do like the way Olivia is letting him sweat a little, soaking in her bathtub with a glass of wine. It's payback for the way he disappeared all those years ago, even if not nearly to the same degree. I love this story so much and I'm honestly sad that I've reached the end of what is published so far. Can't wait for the next update!

Lol first of all, I was laughing so hard at the fact that the one working girl's name was Madison. I'm sure it wasn't intentional, it's a pretty common name but I am honored that I was able to be in this story in a way, and interact with Olivia!

Love the way they slipped right back into their old routine of being partners and that Elliot even messed up and almost called Liv "Detective" Benson. This case is definitely getting interesting and scary and I wanted to punch Markus Russo back when he punched Elliot! Love the way that it wasn't him, Elliot, that hit him back though, that it was Liv who got all protective of her "partner."

Also, those last few sentences were EVERYTHING. "She knew one thing though. Elliot Stabler was like gravity; always pulling her back to him whether she liked it or not. And she found herself not wanting to escape his orbit." I MEAN COME ON!

Omg they're gonna be partners again! I know it's temporary and I know their chemistry won't be exactly the same which honestly makes me nervous about how this is going to play out, but Elliot and Olivia eating chinese food together and being partners again is the main thing I took away from this chapter lol. They are so fucking precious and I NEED a scene like this when SVU comes back on the air or in OC.

Wow... where do I even start with this one? I had a feeling that Elliot was undercover to some degree throughout those nine years but seven years under has got to be brutal. It broke my heart when he was explaining to Olivia about how he was so depressed after shooting Jenna and how Kathy had to convince him to see someone for help. This is the first time I've seen a story mention that if Olivia had warning about Elliot leaving SVU, she would have quit too. It's something that I hadn't really considered before but she loves him so much and vice versa and yes, this is totally something I can see either of them doing. I'm anxious to find out more about the Stabler kids and about Dickie who has been in and out of rehab. And of course I can't wait to see where the EO relationship will now lead. Olivia is right... everything can't just be fixed now, everything can't go back to normal, but this was a good first step and already I can tell both of their feelings are shifting.

Oh, and that kiss that Elliot gave Liv on the forehead?! So freaking precious. Already that's more than we ever got on the actual show throughout twelve fucking years.

Ok, the highlight of this story thus far was definitely that conversation that Elliot and Olivia had about IAB aka the rat squad. Even though I know Olivia didn't date Tucker in this fic, it was funny to hear her defend him and Elliot say, "I can't believe you're saying that after all the shit he put us through? After all the times he went after our jobs?" Of course, Olivia's response was just as good and I'm really looking forward to their conversation at Mulligan's. Olivia might think it won't change anything and yes, she has the right to be angry but I'm so excited to see what happens next.

Side note, I also love that you have Melinda Warner in this fic. I know she isn't in the show quite as often anymore but she's always one of my favorites!

That flashback that Olivia had of William Lewis and how much she had grieved for Elliot during that time period... ugh that hurt me. It's not fair what he did to her and I can just picture poor Olivia crying in bed, throwing her pillow across the room in anger. At the same time though, I'm looking forward to Elliot's explanation and to hear where he's been in this version of the story. I also really loved Fin's offer to slug Elliot if Liv wanted him to lolol

Ok, I finished what you have of Into the Deep so far so now it's time for me to spam this story. Wow I'm hooked already... the tension is there and it's killing me between El and Liv and the resentment. I'm also very glad that you have changed some things from canon, most notably the fact that Olivia never dated Tucker because that was dumb and never would have happened anyway. Lol is it bad that I'm also glad Noah doesn't exist in this story? I don't hate him by any means but I am glad for the story to focus on hurts that they are fighting about whose case it is... hopefully they will just be able to work together.

Leave it to Elliot to say something stupid like that. To infer she doesn’t get it. I hope they talk soon but he deserves to be made to sweat it out. That’s nothing compared to him leaving without a word to her. I can’t wait to see how their reunion is handled on the show. She’ll probably have mixed feelings. I doubt she’ll rush into his arms.

Something how they were so in sync when in the club earlier, and then Elliot takes the lead on the questioning. I can see his point in wanting to ensure that Russo keeps talking, and nothing happens to him. He is the only solid link they have right now into the organization. But I don't think Elliot fully considered the impact it would have on Olivia's case, and I think she is right to be pissed at him. I certainly wasn't expecting everything to stay smooth sailing between the two former partners. I do sympathize with Russo to a degree, he got in over his head and didn't see any other way out. Now his daughter is dead as a result of his actions. Still, I find it disheartening that he won't face any consequences for his actions, but I know sometimes deals have to be made. I'm actually surprised after their fight that Elliot gave Olivia her space and didn't follow her into the office. Yes, he's texting her (and apologizing), but he's putting the ball in her court. I hope she talks to him again soon, but only after making him sweat it out a little. Thanks for another great chapter, can't wait to see where this story goes next!

Aww just like old times. Elliot almost calling her detective benson, her wiping blood off his cheek. I like that they are slowly finding their connection again even after all the years that have passed and I love the last part! Looking forward to the next chapter
