It’s tough for me to say which version I like better so far. I like Stay Light because the relationship is Shinji/Hikari, which compared to the main EVA ships(Shinji and Asuka/Rei/Kaworu/Misato) is not something seen often so it’s always nice to see a new dynamic than the usual. But I do kind of like the slower build up relationship in this version better than the other one where they are already together at this point. It will be up to the story that happens in both routes that will really determine which route I like better in the long run though, so we shall see. Anyway, keep up the good work!

Asuka has concluded that Shinji’s lack of memories may be associated with his combat performance. I am curious as to the degree of her speculations. Well done.

I enjoy the rhythm of the sentences in this chapter more than in chapter 2.

On a different note, there are a few typos in this chapter:
“Are you certain this is the right way?” Shinji LOOKED around as they entered AN area of small of shops.

Aw, this chapter was surprisingly really cute. Not gonna lie, sometime I mix up which version I'm reading since they both have a lot of similarities, especially the two chapters previous to this one. But I feel like from this point on things will become more different and over time the mix-ups won't happen anymore.

Very enjoyable. Well balanced on the moments of growth and the teasing of a large jump forward with the relationship. I look forward to more.

This chapter feels slightly more curt than the previous one. I suggest that you read aloud your work.

Bold choice, having the route split happen at a point where neither girl was particularly relevant. But I can definitely see it developing to the side there! Also, I lost it at the "so Asuka can sleep with the other" line! Nice one, and thanks for the chapter!

Poor Shinji, can't believe Ritsuko indirectly saved Asuka like that, so Hikari is the heaven feel route?
