Oooooh! The HHH-Stephanie-Chyna triangle just got moved up! In the real world, Stephanie and Hunter were just a storyline in 1999, and didn't get serious about each other until 2001 after he tore his quad. Anxious to see how the conversation with Hunter goes.

Let’s be honest. Chyna could rip any appendage of Stephanie’s off without too much trouble. She really picked the wrong woman’s boyfriend to get into bed with. She’s the victim here and has every right to be pissed. Unfortunately going off at her in front of Vince was never going to be a good plan. I kinda want Steph to get what she deserves, but she is not the most guilty party in this nightmare situation. Of course, Steph was barely 22-23 years old at this point so she’s young and maybe a bit naive. When Mandy gets her alone it’s clear that she’s beyond smitten. Convinced she’s in love after a very short time. Probably good her father didn’t hear that.
Vince is mad enough at Hunter as it is. He’s already made it clear that he intends on not letting this fling, as he sees it, go any further. Not that I have any sympathy for him. He would have been the one who pursued her, knowing that he was already involved with another person long term. He has no excuse. Mandy should have let Shane go off on him the way he wanted to. She does however, find a good balance of rationality, and threatening to bash their heads together if they don’t take the ration option (my Triple M moment for this chapter ).
Leaving anything further until after the show is the best idea of all. It’s live tv and they have their roles to play. If they can’t be professional on screen, there’s no hope for anyone. But I can’t imagine the McMahon’s have never performed while something is going on backstage, so I believe it will work out. This time anyway :-)

Oh man, what a dramatic chapter! I wondered how long it would be until Steph and Triple H would be together. Well done!
Can you imagine the state of wrestling if Triple H and Steph had never gotten together? I've been thinking about this a lot lately. Like, no NXT that we know and love. WWE would have undoubtedly failed eventually.

The plot thickens. Mandy could be very interesting as manager for Davey Boy Smith. Can't be worse than him was running around with the Mean Street Posse like he did back then, but what will Diana (Davey's wife/Bret Hart's sister) think of him having a hot female manager?

As for Vince Russo, will he still defect and run off to WCW or will he stick around in this? Feel free to make him a creep, as he was the one wanted to push Sable even though she had ZERO interest in being a wrestler, and might see Mandy as a potential replacement (Sable left in May 1999, then sued the WWF for $110 million - they settled out of court).

Man imagined if that happened IRL: The British Bulldog being managed by Mandy Rose lmao.

I wonder if Shane brought Mandy her drink as a peace offering since as soon as she’s finished it, she has to abandon her relaxing poolside fun for business. Understandable, he doesn’t want to incur the wrath of my Triple M (:-D)! It’s impressive that Vince actually wants her there though, she’s part of his very tight circle. Only those who’s opinions are valuable to him are called. Apparently Vince Russo will be there too.
Damn. Losing a Foley and Austin at once is a huge hit to their product. Two of the biggest names going out of action. Means they really have to accentuate the remaining top stars , and elevate some new ones ASAP, and it’s far from an overnight process.
I’m not sure I agree with Mandy’s idea, and not just because Russo likes it. People buy tickets, and buy ppv shows based on the marquee, and not delivering on the advertised match can really disappoint the fans, who may not risk dropping money on you again next time.
On the flip side, i love her idea to move the Bulldog into the title picture. He just better not get hurt as well, with his near career ending back issue. I am a little annoyed Vince holds his Manchester accent against him. Seems like a silly thing. I always understood him. He has worked well with a mouthpiece before, like Jim Cornette. It’s a step down from what Mandy is doing now, but she is getting a huge amount of trust put in her to help Bulldog get over with the crowd as a feasible challenger for their top prize. It’s going to be a tough job, but she won’t want to let the family down.

This was quite surreal. Triple M (Yes, I’m going to call her that at least once every time lol!) handled the duties well enough. I think she took advice from Mick Foley as well as Steve Austin, as she name dropped the city to add even more emphasis to their reaction. It’s the classic cheap pop, but it works, and always works. Obviously how her father in law feels about it will be of the most importance, since he was just reinstated to his previous position, he could step in and take over those tv moments again if he wasn’t happy with how she did.
I think they should both be around though. Having Mandy around will help keep Triple H at bay, although having Austin with her probably was the bigger deterrent for him this time.
What hold the most intrigue for me is that since Mandy is very much a blank slate, they could create her on screen character in any way they want. After her first showing, they might have a better idea what that will be, but I don’t have a clue.
