Unless these handcuffs only use a single locking mechanism, the spare key would still be able to unlock the cuff of the other person. Most handcuffs need to be unlocked from each limb. The description you have of the quirk-proof/unbreakable restraint devices sound similar to modern police cuffs, and so, even if the key broke off in Midoriya's side, the spare key could be used to unlock Mina's cuff. Thus separating them; and leaving Midoriya with an odd-looking 'bracelet'.

The premise was 'interesting', but the execution was flawed.

As for the biscuits, (that stop bowel and bladder functions) to remove the embarrassment of both parties; the convenience of such a material, feels like a copout, for what is likely going to be a 'somewhat-lime-ish' (if not outright LEMON) story anyway.
