Well...that was a feelsy chapter. Very good! I like that you address a bit the issues Goten has with Goku. It was probably a lot for him growing up without Goku in his life. Keep up the good work!

First of all, it's criminal how this works has been going under the radar for so long.

On the technical side, the prose flows flawlessly, it's easy to read. From descriptions to dialogue everything is top notch with nothing to envy to published books. Great writing

On the story itself, it is an absolutely great take of our beloved characters, an original take and I'm so glad to find a conflict that doesn't rely on "villain out of nowhere that is uberpowerful coming out of nowhere". Bypassing strenght to create conflict is a good idea that you managed to acomphlish very, very well.

The vast majority of the characters have a great despiction, with very believable interactions and a great understanding of their personalities.

If I had to critizice something, the only things that comes to my mind are
a) Bulma being very slow to grasp the metaphysical ideas.
She has been around this stuff for years, as a good scientist while she might not intuitively understand this kind of stuff I'm sure she would be able to make the kind of right questions to elicit a workable analagoy from the ki-users
b) Trunsk and Goten friendship problems.
Bulma went out to explore the world at 16, made friends with Goku and started dating a desert bandit. The briefs are probably rich enough that they are above the networking of middle-of-the-road millionaires and have "fuck you" money, no need to hide friends or anything, there has never been any indication that the disparities between Bulma and Trunks had ever any efect on their relationship with the rest of the gang, it doesn't feel natural
