I think Naraku might have learned two important things during that dream: 1) messing with her loved ones directly will affect her and 2) messing with her loved ones directly is very dangerous for his health. XD
Hopefully he'll have learned his lesson and not want to mess with them. If he was planing on doing something like he had with Mayumi, I don't think it would work. Not like he would want it to anyway.

(Spoliers ahead for any readers who haven't read up to the last chapter):
PS- T.O.T, don't be afraid to go off canon when it comes to Inuyasha-Kikyo-Yua thing if you find that it fits more to your story. Frankly I think it odd how he would choose to accept Kikyo's kiss and go to the afterlife with her when he clearly told Yua that he likes her. At the same time, I could see why he would immediately feel like he needs to fulfill Kikyo's dying wish in order to appease her and go into the after life with her after he had found out why she died- but that's the only reason I could see him do that. Kikyo was still the one who loosed the arrow to kill Mayumi, even if driven by Naraku's lies, and I think this would be one of the many reasons why he couldn't fall back in puppy-love with Kikyo (cause lets face it wasn't anything more than puppy-love). Another reason why would be that Yua, flesh and blood and alive, is beside him and says she returns his feelings. In cannon, Kagome never outright says she is in love with Inuyasha out loud and in his hearing range until the incident where the baby tries to take over her soul but by then they all think Kikyo's dead again. I'd think it's safe to say that afterwards, even when Kikyo gets revived by Kagome, Inuyasha's actions around Kikyo had changed. So it's okay if he doesn't follow the cannon when it comes to Kikyo, it'd be a little weird if he continued to do so for a long time anyways, as your story gave Inuyasha's relationship with Kikyo a different background to begin with.

Poor Yua. That was a horrible scene, but I love the little interactions with Yua and Naraku. Those are an added twist - and the fact she can now actually sense when it's Naraku is awesome. She's growing into herself and that's amazing. Though I feel like it's not only the Jewel Shards the reasons she is there, but also that era now feels like home to her more than her era. She never really had a chance with the way she grew up, but now she has friends and a family - pack that she loves. Yeah she might love her family back at home, but she loves her pack more.

Yeah, Yua! Fight for your man! I love how we’re around to the point of meeting Sanford because soon they’ll see Sesshomaru again and after that is Koga! Inuyasha’s rival in love! If it was funny how the anime made their interaction, I know you’ll find a way to make it hilarious! Excellent chapter, can’t wait for more!

Yay! I saw you updated and straight up left the story I was already reading to come read this one. I’m glad Yua decided to fight for what/who she wants. She’s a strong girl and I’m glad she didn’t immediately give in when Mutt-Face apologized, because what he did with Kikyo, even in the actual show with Kagome, was super shitty, even if he didn’t know Kagome was there. The fact that he was willing to just bounce and not say anything at all even though he’s made friends and likes a new girl...dude. Not even on the radar of cool, Dog-boy. Anyway! I eagerly await your next chapter this coming Wednesday!

Well they’re talking now at least though things seem to be tense between them, at least a little.

And Mayumi seems to only want to protect herself and secrets that she has.

I absolutely love this! Yua isn’t being some sort of pushover, with both Mayumi and Inuyasha! She has every right to be angry and I don’t blame her with everything. And I love how she acknowledges the fact that Inuyasha could choose Kikyo but wants to still fight instead of pushing him away to spare herself the hurt. You are such a great writer and you provide so much depths to these characters and are really making me see Inuyasha in a new emotional light! ️

Finally! I’m all caught up! At the same time, the closer I got to the last chapter the more anxiety I got because I knew it hadn’t all been posted just yet XD. ANYWHO! I can’t tell you how much I’ve thoroughly enjoyed this story. It’s tough to find an InuyashaxOC story that is good and well written on top of it all. I enjoy Yua’s character very much. I like that she doesn’t take any shit but also has a soft side to her as well, and I like how different her relationship with Inuyasha is from how it is with Kagome. It’s so much more balanced and as much as I like Kagome, she can be a tad but annoying at times. I also enjoy getting to read what Mutt-Face XD has to say about things from time to time. Getting a glimpse of what’s going on it his head is nice. I can’t wait to read the rest of this!
