Truckee Gal chapter 2 . 11/16/2017 Great exchange: Amanda raised the can of whipped cream, her finger on the nozzle. "Stay right there, or I'll shoot." Lee: "That doesn't scare me, Amanda, I've seen you shoot." LOL! So this 2nd honeymoon comes with a strong sense of foreboding. Lee & Amanda will discover that of the trio in the basement, two actually came out of it alive. Interesting that, while Lee was being tortured then pushed out of a speeding car, slimy Senator Moo is alive and well on a cushy tropical island. Did Senator Moo hire The Chameleon to kill his cousin Colonel Moo, pin the murder on Scarecrow then try to take over The Agency? Or is it more convoluted than my mind is able to conjure? |

LorelaiSquared chapter 2 . 6/19/2011 Another fantastic story. I love this continuation to what you did in "With or Without You". I really liked the way you handled such important issues between them and I particularly liked that you didn't just gloss over the making up - they had to really fight to get there in the end and I think that is so, so, so important. They are both such stubborn and passionate people that it makes sense they'd be like that. The challenges of suddenly being openly a family both at home and work are vast and you managed to weave those together in a believable and wonderfully angsty fashion. And of course you just HAD to have Lee nearly get blown up again! I love the twist of Amanda cutting the red wire instead of the green one. Gotta love those instincts of hers! I like too that some of the issues with the boys adjusting have been dealt with here. I'm glad that you've made sure to include them so importantly in your story because they are such a hugely important part of Amanda's life. The plotty bits were really brilliant too - very intense and interesting and they fit very well with the issues Lee and Amanda were having throughout. Cleverly played. I'm curious to see how you'll follow through with this whole issue of the Senator. I've actually started to read the next one already but I have a question - I've looked through your fic list so many times and I can't seem to find the fic that fits between "Through a glass darkly" and "Where the Road goes". Which one is it? I'd like to make sure I read them in the proper order. Thank you for writing such wonderfully delightful and satisfying stories. |
