Wow, alot of things did change after Harry prevented the first wizarding war. Yep, without Harry's Boy-Who-Lived, Ginny never would've spared Harry a glance at him, instead she becomes an obsessive fangirl of Cedric Diggory because of him winning the Triwizard Tournament. At least Cedric didn't let the whole fame thing get to him and instead went for someone who loved him for who he was. Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes never existing in the alternate timeline was a shame, but if Harry's parents were still alive, they wouldn't have known the Weasleys well. Nice chapter, looking forward to more!

I'm glad Melinda made it out ok. I was going to say 'unharmed' but I realize that this is not an accurate word to describe her situation. The message written in blood on the back of her hand... Probably more terrifying than the ghost of Voldemort itself, and definitely has Umbridge's "signature" over it. I wonder who's going to be the Big Bad of this story: the ghost of Voldemort, Umbridge, Daphne's father, or someone else like Bellatrix or Lucius Malfoy. I can see this story unfolding in so many different ways, and I'm sure you will make it very interesting going forward.

Ouch, the scene of Harry realizing that Ginny was just using him, heartbreaking. I'm glad that Cedric didn't fall for Ginny, Cho is good to him and they're happy. I actually think now Ginny might even try to run after Harry again, Harry seems to be her second choice/consolation prize. It wouldn't surprise me if she sheds some crocodile tears to try to get Harry back. I know that in canon, Dean Thomas was 'hurt' that Ginny and Harry began dating immediately after his break-up with Ginny, but Harry didn't seem to care much about it. Now Harry can fully sympathize with Dean, when he saw that Ginny was ready to dump him for Cedric.

Glad that Harry has Daphne to help him navigate through the new timeline. I get the feeling that the status of the mind/spirit of the Harry native of this new timeline will be addressed eventually too. I can see why Harry would think of Snape as the one who gave Hermione detention, but I actually think it was Umbridge. Ouch, even though things improved for Harry, it's awful that Daphne previously had a loving grandfather but now has a jerk of a father and a potentially even worse stepmother. Hope Harry can help her out too.

I'm really loving this story. Congratulations on another excellent chapter, and looking forward to more.

Going thru eternity as an unfeared nobody. Perhaps the most fitting punishment possible for Tommy boy. Yea, without a "boy-who-lived" I guess Ginny would need someone else to obsess over, wouldn't she? I wonder who else she's stalked over the years.

I'm reviewing again because I completely neglected to mention what appears to be the most Hogwarts-centric change we've seen yet.

Carved into Melinda's right hand was the phrase "I will not be late to class."

I am almost positive that this is a sign of the Umbitch's presence as a teacher.

I will also guess that that's who Ron and Hermione are serving their detention with.

Since I actually know who wrote this one, I won’t give as much of a reply here as I otherwise would have, other then to say thank you for the review of course. I see I am not the only one that calls her that ‘Umbitch’ is about right for her.

This is brilliant. This chapter spits on all the other HP time travel fanfictions (in a good way); especially the ones that send Harry back to his parents time.

Seriously, if going all that back is possible why not go back more and erase Voldemort from existence.
It would save Tom Riddle Sr, the children in the orphanage, the children in Hogwarts and all the other unfortunate souls Voldemort killed during his travels.

Unlike all the other stories that send Harry back a mere few years back this story saves all those people. That is why this method of yours is the best.

The prophecy also comes true in a very unique way. Harry literally vanquishes Voldemort.

I do not know why you left Voldemort around as a ghost. Hopefully, he won't come back. It would really sour the mood.

So far this story looks like it would be one of the best in the fanfiction world. I hope that you will finish it.
