DolbyDigital chapter 1 . 5/27 OMG this was adorable! It was so absolutely perfect, I loved it! This was such a wonderfully written AU; I loved the parallels you made to canon, how you kept linking back to things that were in the books (I loved the car crash reference!), and how they were all football players was really cool. Particularly Ginny’s football scholarship! And I adored the twins’ restaurant! I’ve never read them owning a restaurant before, but it definitely fits! They played around a lot with food products for their joke shop, and they must have been good at potions! And your characterisations were so good! I loved the way you showed us the relationship Ron now had with his sister, how that had changed over the years. And I adored the way Ron was still so unsure what he wanted to do with his life, how he was reminiscing about a simpler time when he was younger and his future seemed like a thing so far away. I also really loved the way you used that longing for the simplicity of childhood to draw back to the first section. (Which was so wonderfully written, by the way, I loved it!) And I really loved this take on Pansy, too, how she was also unsure of herself, how she seems to have mellowed out while she was away fending for herself, without the safety of knowing her parents are around to support her. Honestly, I could say so much more about this story, it was absolutely wonderful! You did a really great job with this :) |
VanillaAshes chapter 1 . 5/18 The CUTEST FIRST SCENE! Little Ron and Pansy getting married! Sooooo cute! (I loved that they got divorced at lunch too). I love the build-up after the first scene. And that they reconnected years later after both of them found that adult-life wasn't as good. Great job at referring back to the beginning scene, it brought the whole story together. Written very well. |
Dumbothepatronus chapter 1 . 5/17 Oh my gosh, that wedding scene at the beginning of this story was the most adorable thing I’ve read in awhile. Every time the kids got the lines wrong, I was giggling, and I had the biggest grin on my face through the whole thing. And then the way you wrapped it up with the deceptively simple “Ron and Pansy got divorced during lunch” was just fire! I loved every minute of it. And the muggle!AU was just so enjoyable as well. I loved seeing Fred and George both alive and together, running a restaurant, because of course they would put their creative minds to good use, even if they’d been Muggles. Just a really enjoyable story overall. I loved reading it, and I see why it was chosen for Judges Pick. (Congrats!) |
belle parole chapter 1 . 5/17 the begging of this had me grinning like an udder idiot. i loved the way you wrote them as little kids so much! they were adorable, and the way they got the words wrong was amazing and ah! i also loved that they got divorced during lunch bahahahah i loved how when they grew up they still went together in the same way. it was really nice to see them reunite. i also love the parallels of everything into the muggle world and how fred and george are still business owners and harry's still a fighter. i lovedddd the ending and how it paralleled to the end and it was so cuteeeee 3 really nice job! |
