If quarantine Harvey is anything like poker Gabriel, pass!

When I wished for a continuation of the first part/chapter, I was thinking of a funny little piece of fluff and then you come back with a funny, fluffy and MORE piece of awesomeness! I should know better by now, but you always exceed my expectations!

You lead into this oneshot with Donna's dress/es and write this perfect analysis on her wardrobe and what it means and what not and it's all so true and immediately sucking me in. And you manage to fill that part with so many emotions already: there's TOT and memories, there's a decade worth of dancing around each other, longing and heartbreak, and there are other relationships... all in all, there's HISTORY! Ooof!

I love how you write their sexy playfulness! How Donna (in that dress) is affecting Harvey and how she's trying to use that to her advantage and get him to answer her question! Ahhhhh I love it!

We know that this oneshot is set on the day Harvey went to Thomas, and it was an absolutely wonderful idea to use this fact to include the talk I'm positive Donna and Harvey had that night. It worked perfectly and everything felt even more real. It was a day in the life of Donna and Harvey. Thank you for this!

"You know I never really told you how sorry I was that I put you in that position." I always want to scream at Donna when she's accusing Harvey of putting her in a shitty position when it was all her doing, so this feels AMAZING!

BUT OF COURSE HARVEY DOESNT BLAME HER UGH HES UNBELIEVABLE

"You could never lose me, not when every bit of me is tied irrevocably to you." DONT TOUCH ME THIS IS EVERYTHING!

And I totally get Donna's reaction to Harvey telling her she's the most important person in his life. Yes. And the ending is perfect! Funny, sexy, fluffy, PERFECT!

UGH! It's so HARD to choose! Gosh, when it's the whole day I think I'll go with the quarantine Harvey. Although.. he wouldn't wear that three piece for long anyway.. hm...

Caroline this is EVERYTHING! I always wondered if Donna ever found out about Harvey and Thomas’ conversations! I loved loved how you tied in her wardrobe, and how in love you wrote them!

This is so good, its the funny intimate moments and thoughts that we missed out on and desperately needed in S9. Well written!

Oh I loved it! To think you were unsure about posting it kills me. This is such a nice sub-plot of them finding things out about each other. Things that they kept from each other for over a decade. Since we got plently of Harvey in three-piece suits, I choose the scruffy version. So how does this work extactly? Should I venmo you the money, and you send him on his way? ;-)

oh man i’m a sucker for anything early canon and guh this was just wonderful! both chapters were so sweet and lovely and my heart is exploding!

The happiness I felt when you finally caved and decided to give this fic a second chapter! And what a treat it has been! So totally different from what I initially expected but SO MUCH better than I could have ever imagined!

Because what it could have been – a sexy piece about Donna mercilessly teasing Harvey with her body to get what she wants – wouldn’t nearly have been as satisfying and rewarding as what it has become.

I love of course that that first element is still there as well; the motivation behind her getting the dress and the initial motivation to wear it that day.

But what I love even MORE, is everything that happens around it. Harvey’s introspective in the beginning about her dresses, how he had always known what she had been going through just by what she was wearing. To know that he had always paid that kind of attention is so true to who he is and I loved that.
And how he concluded that “he was the man in her life. He was the one who influenced what she wore during the day and he was the one who also got to take them off at night – and at other times of the day, when she’d let him.” … F.M.U. Your way with words, girl, will never cease to amaze me!

I also really really loved the end of that day. When they have that serious conversation about Thomas. The truths they share in that moment. Donna explaining herself and Harvey telling her what he’d told Thomas. A CONVERSATION WE SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN ON THE SHOW! Seriously! I looove the openness and honesty of that whole scene, that adds so much to the intimacy they share.

I also love how you tie up the initial purpose of this chapter; Harvey telling Donna about the dreams he used to have about them. And how despite all the serious moments, you managed to leave us with a happy and light-hearted feeling.

Special shout-out to another of my favorite sentences in this fic: “You could never lose me, not when every bit of me is tied irrevocably to you.” … THE ESSENCE OF DARVEY IN ONE SENTECE AND I LOVE IT!
