I quite like this. There are some stories that deal with the psychological analysis of Danny and/or other characters, but this is incredibly detailed and convincing. It is a really nice telling of the story of Danny from a perspective outside the loop at the point in time your story is set. I look forward to seeing how you move forward with this assuming it is not just a two-shot.

I'm sorry it has taken me so long to get around to your story. I have been very slowly chipping away at my backlog of fanfic reading. It very much enjoy the style of your writing. I like seeing your analysis of Danny through Lancer's eyes. Lancer might be a flawed character but I adore the way you have him determined to keep Danny from slipping through the cracks when with all the other chaos going on, it would be so easy to do so.
