Thank you for another great review! You're not being too critical at all, I appreciate anything that can help me improve my writing. I'm really glad you liked how I portrayed the cross-dressing and gendering debacle. To be honest, most of that was actually accidental. I have a deep-seated hatred of fancy clothes, so I wanted to vent a little frustration in the form of Kurama having problems with his outfit. My ranting actually giving a valid reason for Kurama to be recognized as a boy was not intentional. The whole point of this story was that the one time someone got Kurama's gender right, he actually wanted them to get it wrong, so I'm glad that plot worked out.
Also, your last little bit of imagery was priceless. To quote you, "Pictures are worth a thousand words, and this, my dear, is worth a million pictures." (ignore the fact that quoting that probably sounded conceited, it's a compliment to your incredible imagery.)
Thank you so much for another amazing review! I honestly have no formal training in writing and barely any planning for plot besides a series of random one-word prompts (except for chapter 5) so I'm glad this worked out.

I hope I didnt sound too critical, cause I really loved they way you portrayed this. I tend to get very clinical and technical when I reason out plots. The boys thought the ones in the car must be physic, when they may just be good at reading body language. Cause Kurama says it all when he asked himself how women put up with it all with the way the dress restricted his movement, the makeup took forever and the high heels made him wobbly. It's all about what you are used too, and what makes you comfortable. I cant wear heels unless they are really thick ones cause my ankles are messed up, and I rarely wear makeup unless it's a very special occasion. Other women wont be caught dead going to the store unless everything is perfect and makeup is just right. Neither way is better or more right than the other, just right for that person. Not so much that Kurama COULDN'T rock a slinky dress, just that he wasn't USED to doing so, that gave the game away. And the whole damned if I do, damned if I don't subplot is just precious. I can just see his face doing -_-* throws hands in the air, kicks off the shoes, and sashays away "fuck this I'm out. Keeping dis dress doh"

Thank you for the awesome review! I'll admit that my personal knowledge of crossdressing is minimal (and I apologize for any inaccuracies), but as an artist, I do understand the differences in the male and female skeletal structures. I know that Kurama is definitely a man and has a man's build, but I was hoping that with his relatively androgynous character design and graceful mannerisms, he would be able to pull off the slinky dress. Plus, this chapter is also a parody of Kurama being mistaken for a woman for five chapters, so there had to be something to tip the hecklers off to the fact that he was a man. Clothes not quite falling right would probably work.
As for Youko Kurama's disguise? It was in the Makai a few hundred years ago. He probably would have been wearing formal kimono and makeup. I think it would've worked, if only for a short amount of time. I'd have loved to see it, though.
Glad to see how much you enjoyed my story! I really appreciate it!
Ladyscorpio0088 chapter 6 . 5/10
Love this! Poor Kurama cant catch a break. Though it probably comes from trying too hard in this case. I personally know several people who crossdress, either simply because they are more comfortable that way or they perform, and one thing I have always noticed and spoken to them about is how graceful they are. And it takes years of practice to smoothly go from one identity to another. And after making costumes and repairs to foundation garments for them, giving Kurama a bit of stuffing for boobs ain't gonna be enough for a slinky dress.
A man's skeleton is different than a woman's. On average, it's boxyer, with the shoulders and ribcage sitting parallel to the pelvis and the legs come straight downwards. Whereas for women, the ribcage tapers in, the pelvis is wider at the hip joints, and the legs are offset slightly towards the rear and pointed in, which gives us the hour glass or pear shape, as well as gives us the roundness to our butts that men love so much and high heels make more pronounced. It also gives us the roll in our walk.
Now, Kuramas grace comes from being a fox, and he has a certain androgynous look that, coupled with his long hair and feminine way of walking makes him look like a woman. However, that's when he is in comfortable clothes and shoes that make him feel sturdy. Put him in a clingy dress where his hips cant lie, and moderate heels where he cant run without face planting into concrete, and he's gonna lose all grace and composure, lol.
Now, of course, this is all based on the Western style look you gave him, which is my stronger suit for costuming anyway. Put Kurama in a kimono, as you referenced, and the situation is completely different. The way kimono is layered and worn, with barely any curves showing, would be ideal. And the uniformity of geta, and the familiarity of them as well, would make walking easier to. Though as Youko has a larger, more masculine frame and mannerisms, as well as voice, I'm pretty sure I'd pee myself seeing him as a pretty little concubine. Pictures are worth a thousand words, and this my dear, and worth a million pictures! Very well done!

These chapters are epic. They really put a smile on my face :) Thank you for sharing. Don't know if this prompt helps, but maybe have Kurama w/ his Mom either picking out her wedding dress and he gets mistake for one of her bridesmaids. Or maybe gets mistaken as Shiori's daughter while they're out to lunch lol Would love to see the last prompt with his human family.
